  2. Hi Everyone,

The Board has been investigating different ways to organise our teams and increase productivity. We've found a new program which is similar to Trello but has more functionality and integrates with our Google Accounts. The new software is called Space. It has a web, desktop and mobile based programs which can be downloaded from their website. Some of the benefits include having multiple teams within an organisation, having projects with multiple teams assigned, team calendar, leave calendars, private and team chats, project planning including checklists, ability to upload and commit to code and plenty more.

I encourage everyone to login so we can setup the teams as your account will be created upon your first login. We'll be moving towards conducting more activities on here in multiple departments. You can signin via the link below.

    https://vatpac.jetbrains.space/

It's still in early stages however we'll continue to expand over the next quarter on it's usage.

    Cheers :)

I don't normally fly into YSSY with ATC on so as a first time with ATC I must say they were very professional. A friend did recommend I fly here often as the ATC was amazing.

I'll be flying to and from Australia a lot more.

We're bringing you some Friday Night Entertainment that the pubs and clubs can't! Visit a new location in VATPAC airspace each week which will be staffed to the rafters with ATC! Pilots, plan multiple sectors into/from the airspace or do a long haul and finish of your flight with full ATC. The possibilities are endless!

    This Week

This week, we'll be kicking off in Sydney! With so many controllers and pilots at home, will you be able to help us keep Sydney as busy as it once was? Expect ATC across the Sydney area including our featured airports this week: Sydney YSSY; Camden - YSCN; YSBK - Bankstown. If there is enough controllers, our friends over at RAAFv may even be online to assist with ATC at Richmond and Williamtown (Although everyone is invited to login there).

Non Standards will be opened on a case by case basis by a Senior Staff member in accordance with the policies.

  7. Hi Paul,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. At this time, we have no intention to add any flags to our website.

VATPAC is a community inclusive of everyone and I think we'd run out of room on the website if we added a flag for everyone ;)

Vatsim disconnecting people if their fps went below 20

    This only applies to XPlane.

The most recent update of vPilot ensures voice is automatically reconnected so even if you do disconnect for some reason, you now shouldn't have the issue of needing to disconnect from the network and reconnecting to establish voice :)

  9. Hey Bradon,

Welcome to the forums! I'm not entirely sure why this file was removed from the website but I'm unable to locate it on my computer. Our resident VRC instructor @Tracy Shiffman might be able to attach the file here?

If you use Euroscope (An alternative option to VRC) the Alias file required is included in the program.

Is the use of this feature taught?

I don't believe so however, I think it's covered in the moodle as one of the approved coordination methods (I think preferred as well).

4 minutes ago, Richard Quigley said:

Does  the feature still work with AFV?

    I believe so.

You want me in that channel with voice activation, it sounds like.

I didn't really want to get involved in this, however, I just set a PTT when I'm controlling and change it back once I'm done... Although you've expressed this is inconvenient, isn't this the best compromise for coordination?

Also, just an FYI for those who may not know, there is work currently underway to incorporate coordination into AFV which will alleviate any issues with some users using/not using Discord :)
