After a chat with @Tom Grozev last night, it seems that the system is working but it is buggy. We could observe multiple working flights last night, but clearly some people are having issues. We'll look into fixing these issues in due course.

Eoin is correct, it will show in the observing hours. You could use projectFLY or similar to record the actual flight log though

Eh you could probably get away with starting engines without approval and sitting in the one spot, but for realism sake, you can ask.

They're P3D compatible... not sure myself if that's all of the airports though lol

I think you'll mainly run into issues if you like to fly in places like the US or Europe where (I'm not too sure on this) the update might be a bit different to ours. However I've not actually bothered updating my FSLA320 for a while and I can fly there no issues

It's just another one of those differences that everywhere has. Of course someone who always flies in one place obviously won't be used to the differences of the next place. I avoid the problem in low traffic situations by saying either "call me for push and start" or "push and start at your discretion, call for taxi" whenever there is no one about to be of conflict. Obviously during Milk Run that wouldn't happen, there's too much traffic.
If someone is yelling at you over phraseology, that's just a violation of CoC A1. People should be able to let you know what the correct phraseology is without shouting!
