    This weeks flight for Wednesday 19th April 2023 finds us in USA flying from Bowers Field (KELN) in Washington State to Portland Hillsboro (KHIO) in Oregon State. The route takes us over Mount Rainer and Mount St Helens both are active volcanoes. Mt Rainier last erupted in 1450 and Mt St Helens in 1980. The route will also follow the Colombia River to it's junction with the Willamette River before turning south west to destination. It is to be noted that the flight route will take pilots through some TIZ/RMZ Class G airspace where position reporting is required. Flight suggested by David Bromage Clearances are not required below 3,500ft however radios must be tuned to relevant AFIS. All procedures shown are for simulation use only and author advises that procedures are probably not 100% correct for TIZ/RMZ however should provide at least a taste of what is required in these regions.   20. This Weeks Flight for Wednesday 1st February 2023 comes under the Monty Python statement “and now for something completely different”. Departing San Juan De Marcona (SPJN) on the south west coast of Peru we fly northish and commence a round trip viewing of the famous Nazca Lines a Unesco World Heritage site and also the recently discovered glyphs at De Palpa nearby, turning south east arriving at Maria Reiche Neuman, Nazca airport (SPZA). (South Americans love long titles for their airports!!!) There are too many glyphs to list herein so pilots can do their own investigation and see how many they can see. The flight plan provided is a general guide to the area in which the glyphs can be seen and will require some tight turns so please be mindful of other pilots.     This Weeks Flight for Wednesday 18th January 2023 is second leg of a three leg trip in Alaska following the Trans Alaska Oil Pipeline from the oil fields off Deadhorse in the north all the way to Valdez in the south. Leg 2 recommences at Prospect Creek (PAPR) and follows the Dalton Highway AK11 and pipeline then follows the Elliott Highway AK2 at Livengood Camp passing to the east of Fairbanks arriving at Delta Junction (D66).
