I can also enthusiastically second Chris' recommendation of Little navmap. It's excellent and gives you more information on other aircraft although there can be a time lag in the position reports.
-
If you bite the bullet and purchase Active Sky for P3D it has a weather radar gauge that also picks up traffic.
You can add it to your aircraft's panels and it is also dockable so you can move it to a second monitor if you like.

Can controller ask first plane to hurry up, or should he wait until pilot says he's ready?
Absolutely! Politely advise the pilot that there are other aircraft behind waiting to depart and request the aircraft to expedite their departure or if unable to taxi on the runway and exit on the first available taxiway.

Done & dusted!
All we need now is the new parking building!
Many Many Thanks!

Page 3 of the manual:
Installation and Setup
Installing XSquawkBox
XSquawkBox comes as a .zip archive, containing a single plugin that runs on all supported platforms.
If you are upgrading from an earlier version of XSquawkBox, please ensure that you either remove your old XSquawkBox installation completely, or you remove the “32”, and “64” folders, and the “mac.xpl” file from inside of the XSquawkBox folder before installing the new version.
Once you unzip the archive, drag the ENTIRE folder "XSquawkBox" into your X-Plane/Resources/plugins folder.
Important: These installation instructions have changed from previous versions of XSquawkBox; be sure that the entire XSquawkBox folder (containing 64, 32 and Resources) is directly inside the Resources/plugins folder.
When XSquawkBox is installed correctly, there will be an "XSquawkBox" menu item in X-Plane's "plugins menu". If you do not have a plugin menu, your X-Plane is incapable of running plugins, or you have not followed the instructions correctly.
When installing XSquawkBox on Linux, you will also need to install your distribution’s libasound and zlib packages if they have not already been installed.- 1

You are the first to mention it.

This is a conspiracy to get people to go to "the dark side"???...
It would make life easier for the Ops dept!
Peter,
the ML & EN regions show in the TBD sct2 file. The AV and MB do not.
All regions in the ML TMA show in the WOL sct2 file.
All regions in the ML TMA show in the TAS sct2 file BUT HB and LT do not!

The only solution I have is to open a second window and load vic_tma.sct2 as the sector file. That allowed me to see the Melbourne taxiways and runways when using ml-sno_ctr.sct2 in the main window.
He could always come over to the Dark Side!
I'm curious as to why only ML, EN, MB and AV failed to load? What would happen if the regions for the locations north of WOL CTR were deleted from the SNO_CTR file?

Works perfectly for me in Euroscope 3.2
-
I've been running Euroscope since it first came out. I can think of only 3 or 4 times when I've had a problem with it.
On each occasion the problem has been (I think) an overloaded voice "room" where the callsigns were not updating. That is: pilots were joining the frequency and their call sign was not appearing and pilots were leaving the frequency and their callsigns were not disappearing.
Of course these happen at exactly the right times. When you are working CTP or Paninc Stations or some other massive event.
One lives in hope that Zack's people have eliminated this with their new system.

It's done in many, many FIR's so the technology isn't a problem.
There a quite a few policies out thereas well.
Some are even written in English.
It should not be difficult to research these to avoid having to reinvent the wheel!

Best you grovel before Mr. Barber on that!
I'm in happy retirement!

Apparently no one reads the sector file headers any more.

I think you're going to need an amp powerful enough to drive those Klipschorns!
I very much doubt your computer sound card has the oomph for them.
