  1. With refernce to the TWR sector files I could not find;

    I have since figured it out (Ithink) ML & SY do not "own" any airspace, hence no sector file required. Hope this is correct.

    Another question, the answer for which I cannot find as a direct statement; what is the difference between "Altitude" and "Flight Level"?

    By inference "altitude" is the height above MSL when at or below 10000' and at local QNH. Therefore it follows that "flight level" is the altitude above MSL when above 10000' standard QNH.

    Am I anywher close???

  2. Thanks Gentlemen,

    This is good data.

    Sean, sorry I left out the essential info ie no TWR sector files at YMML or YSSY. Just curious as to the reason(s) why.

  3. Can any one advise me how I can access the material on the Airservices Australia web site? The downloads only appear to contain table of content files with links that are incomplete. I'm sure I'm missing something but I'll be damned if I can figure it out.

    Second question: In the sector files I cannot find a TWR or GND file. Is there a reason for this?

    Thanks

  4. Terry

    First contact made via the training email address then some correspondence with Skip and then direct to Rob, twice - one bounced (gather from Skip he had computer problems) and the last apparently vanished into the eletronic ether. As the last was sent during the convention I wasn't looking for an immediate reply. but as noted by Rob, he didn't recieve it. Blame Bill Gates!!

    As things seem to be back to normal I shall contact Rob as his post requests and we'll surely get it all together somehow.

    Appreciate your concern and response.

  5. I've been trying since the 5th of last month to get a response to the simple request of "How does one commence formal traing for ATC with Vatpac?"

    No answers yet!

    And yes, I've got all the training documentation from the VATPAC site, some of the american trinaing material, and ASRC installed & operating.

    Frustrating when you want to do it but no one will talk to you!
