Hi Sean, there was no update for ServInfo as there is no central management of updates for it.
VATSIM has a team that accepts VATSpy updates from divisions and releases them for each AIRAC.
VATSpy now automatically downloads any updates that are available from that team ,which included our latest changes.

The links in the first post have been updated with the AIRAC2106 DAH airways data (Jun 21)
-
If you use the Controller Client Updater to keep the VATPAC Euroscope Package up to date, the 2108 update did not update the .prf files.
This resulted in the last session information not being updated to display the new ATC Feedback line: ATC Feedback - helpdesk.vatpac.org in the Connect dialog ATIS line.
The quick fix is to run the VATPAC Euroscope Package Installer again.

Thanks for the question, Rusty.
The ASISO departure services routes in all directions from RWY 01R only as it was specifically designed for SODPROPS which does use parallel runways (01R for departures and 19R for arrivals). Hence the parallel runway warning on the DAP chart.
Normal parallel runway ops (arrivals and departures from both runways) limit the departure direction where the northern runway services only North and West and the southern runway(01R/19L) services only East and South to avoid potential conflict where departures are from both runways.
-
Thanks to everyone who contributed to the quiz.
The correct answer is the BN4 SID
When parallel runway operations are in progress, Brisbane has
- a northern runway (01L/19R), used for departures to the north and west, and
- a southern runway (01R/19L), used for departures to the east and south
The Q67 departure route is to the north and as the BIXAD SID is only available from the northern runway (01L), the default SID BN4 has to be assigned if 01R is operationally required.
For Controllers: Auto release is not available for the BN4 SID and the departure must be coordinated with the Departure controller. See section 7.3.1 of the Brisbane Local Instructions for more detail.
When SODPROPS is active (only 01R for departures), the ASISO.BIXAD SID should be assigned for a departure via the Q67 airway. For controllers,: Auto release is not available for any departure when SODPROPS is in use.
-
Hint: The new Brisbane Local Instructions contains the answer.
-
A new Brisbane Local Instructions has been released, along with an amendment to MATS to include Independent Parallel Approaches. The Documents Page lists the latest documents for controllers and pilots.
What's new in the latest Brisbane Local Instructions?
- Parallel Runway Operations (PROPS)
- Dependent Parallel Approaches (IMC)
- Independent Parallel Approaches (IMC)
- Simultaneous Opposite Direction Parallel Runway Operations (SODPROPS)
- Brisbane TCU airspace ownership update
- SID/STAR assignment updates for Brisbane and Gold Coast airports
- Amberley Coordination
- Military Operations in Restricted Areas
A First for VATPAC! - Independent Parallel Approach Finals Monitoring
Independent Parallel Approaches (IPA) in IMC will require finals monitoring by the Approach Controller responsible for the final approach path.
If daytime and VMC exists at 5NM, the Tower is responsible for visual monitoring from 5NM.What does this mean for Approach and Tower Controllers?
You will need to comply with the IPA requirements detailed in the Brisbane Local Instructions and the amended MATS , including the display of the No Transgression Zone (NTZ). The Brisbane NTZ is already included in AIRAC 2103 sector and data files.
What about Pilots?
The ATIS will advise INDEP PARL APCH IN PROG and the approach controller will advise that "Finals Monitoring" is in use.
Make sure you accurately establish and maintain your aircraft on a precision approach procedure (ILS, RNAV-Z or -X) for your assigned runway.
Understand and comply with the "Deviation" and "Breakout" instructions from ATC. See the Brisbane Local Instructions for examples.Common sense is required
If traffic is light and no conflict exists, there is no need for a "Deviation" or "Breakout" procedure.
Where Brisbane Finals (BMN) is not active, Brisbane Approach (BAN/BAS) should revert to Dependent Parallel Approaches if workload does not allow for effective finals monitoring. If no approach controller is active, Independent Parallel Approaches can not be activated by the Tower.
We have plans to introduce Finals Monitoring for Sydney Independent Parallel Approaches after reviewing their use at Brisbane and making any necessary adjustments.

Yes, I missed that with all the changes, we tried to get an update released, but will probably have to wait until the next AIRAC update for the fix to be released.
