    Where'd the VATPAX go?

    While we're on the topic of where the VATPAX have gone... There doesn't seem to be any at Major Cities  :confused: :confused:

     

    I know it used to get shuffled so can the IT gods look into shuffling the pax around back to major airports?  :)

    Hi Chris,

     

    ACARS is available any time of the year and depends on whether the controller is utilizing it. They will usually state their logon callsign in their Controller Information.

    Hi Charles,

     

    Are you aware of our Teamspeak 3 Server? It's great for communication with other VATPAC Members and many of them will be more than happy to assist via voice including myself.

    Hi Rob,

     

    Back in the day I used the CLS Scenery for a bit but decided I didn't like it. Although it was an upgrade on the default, I didn't feel it was good enough to keep. The Mesh of the airfield was better with FTX and the Afcad from VATPAC provided for better gate positioning.

     

    Then, AU Scene brought out their Sydney Professional.... All it is, is an upgrade on the CLS Sydney with a couple of different textures and more details into other sections which CLS didn't cover. It still however is built from that original scenery (Which I found out after buying it) so I am not very impressed with it. Once again it's an improvement but not enough to keep it.

     

    It comes down to you, Personally I don't believe it's worth the price they're asking for it. Although Flytampa will most likely be much more expensive, I am definitely waiting out for it because it will have an insane amount of attention to detail as we can see from previews of the control Tower.

     

    If you can, I would wait off and try and make do with what's publicly and freely available :)
