Date and Time: Thursday September 15th 2011.

Visit the Jandakot to Perth and back event page.

Hope you can come for a fantastic night!

  2. MSY have a good reputation.. never used them myself though.. Make sure you don't go into Harvey Norman or DSE and ask them.. they will sell you a overpriced HP piece of s^%t.

Sandy Bridge is the way to go, below is what I am running mine at now, and its only at 55C.. which is excellent for 4.4Ghz and a semi-old cooler. The GTX570 with the combination of 8GB of dual channel G-Skill RAM works like a charm aswell.

I use MSY all the time and I highly recommend it.

  3. DCT SY H185 ENTRA Y245 BANDA Y43 CG DCT

Y43 indicates to fly all the waypoints on the Y43 airway from BANDA to CG. There is ROONY in there. As the waypoints that are in the airway are BANDA, BERNI, ROONY, GREAV, KERRI, CG.

See there is ROONY and GREAV? If you are for a visual apporach, you take the ROONY2 arrival or if you are doing an instrument approach, you take the GREAV5 and as the airway says, fly to ROONY first. KERRI is in the STARs, so that is automatically inserted.

If you are unsure, use the procedures lookup on ATC assist. You choose the runways that are active, then insert the last airway into ATC assist. You will see it spits out ROONY2 and GREAV5, and it says their for both runways.

    Hope this helps.

EDIT: Beat me to it Whitey!

  4. Another great effort for everyone on APP in week 6 :

  7. Great event guys!

I was flying my A320 for a 9:30z win, and then just after half way, BAM! The regular sim crash/freeze!

I was pretty annoyed, but I was going to have another dig in the BE60. I departed from Hamilton, and per the route I was tracking direct AA.

I was asked to contact AA approach where I was given a squwak code, which I entered. 2-1 minutes from the AA VOR, heard nothing from the controller.

I requested a turn. The controller apologised and gave me the turn.

I was on the turn for about 5 mins, and I was about to leave the TMA. I asked for another turn and I got it with another apology.

Then I was getting my turn onto the ILS (facing 250), and got asked to turn right heading 200. A first! I landed and spent a few minutes trying to find the GA parking.
