Twitter posts could look like: Tonight: Australia Online. Melbourne - Sydney. Infokits avaliable from (http://www.vatpac.org). People can follow us then and get the updates on their computer or phone when they are released.

Great work Greg! Hopefully my avast virus scanner won't take to long to scan, otherwise no fsx today! I have seen these pages before, and they have not affected my pc. Thanks again!
-
So you're saying, we can control anywhere in NZ? Don't you need to re-train with VATNZ or anything?
-
It's probably better if we get an actual 'page' not a group. A group is like us only, where a page is for a business, and for other people to 'like' it instead of join the group.

I like the youtube advertising idea. We could film/capture cool videos of vatpac events (Panic stations, TMA turnaround, etc), and that would encourage people to join VATPAC.
I also like the Twitter and Facebook advertising idea. We could set up a facebook page and get people to 'like' VATPAC. We could also have a twitter page, tweeting about the events and getting people to follow us.

Thanks Trent and
Steve! -
Just a question:
If I start at BK, then touch and go at Camden and Richmond, do I need to do a touch and go at BK if I started there? So if I takeoff at BK, after missing the ILS approach, I will need to touch and go at BK where I started, then circle to land again? Do you get me?

It was an excellent event. Great controler workload. Edward had to leave a few times and I had to take ground, that caused a bit of confusion with the pilots. Is this event going to happen again, and if to, how often will it take place?

Expect to have a ball with heaps of aircraft crammed in a relatively small space
I can't wait! Hopefully there will be tons of aircrafts!
-
Thanks David! Is there going to be a teamspeak server for the event tomorrow?
-
Oh yes... Kevin3... forgot about that!
And about the sector files, I was kinda thinking they were for all controllers as it said "All Controlers" from David's Post.

This procedure is not yet published in DAP, some pilots may not be able to access the SID or select it in their flight computer.
True. I use the Wilco A320 mostly, and it hardly has any Australian terminal procedures. Considering departures such as DOSEL7, DEENA4 and ABBEY1 are RNAV departures, I just enter in the waypoints of the departure. If 16L and 34R are in use, 16L has no WOL departure, apart from ABBEY1 (am I correct?). If there are no WOL departures, we will need to use SYD3, so we may need to use ABBEY1 if the wind favors 16L. If we are using 34R, MARUB3.WOL covers it.

Thanks, Steve.
I must be doing something wrong:wall:, only the full Australia sector works in my VRC client, but I get this error for the other one...
The following error occurred while loading the sector file:Unknown Sector Header encountered: POSITONS
And also, did you got my post about using ABBEY1.WOL for the night? If you did, I may have missed your post back!
Thanks again!

Are those sector files for Euroscope? I tried them in VRC and no avail.
-
Prehaps if the wind favors 16L, we could try the new ABBEY1.WOL departure if it's OK with the pilots?
-
I'll try my best to be on!
-
Oh yes... Ryanair... So much to say about them. After the Coin-op toilets, Standup Seats, and Ditching the Co-pilot, and putting in a crew member to fly on takeoff and landing! I'm suprised this is even allowed.
-
I know that, but I was wondering what time all this started tonight on the teamspeak
-
Im loggin in at 7:30 AEST
thanks mate
-
What time is the teamspeak in AEST?
-
I'm probably going to jump on Edinburgh or Parafield tonight... What would you guys recommend?

It's amazing that Melbourne has changed to YSSY?
