    A challenging flight from the mountainous Western Highlands to the coastal East Sepic province of Papua New Guinea where the majority of even commercial flying is VFR. Simulation Date/Time: Current date set to daylight. Weather: Real World / Fair weather if real world is unsuitable for VFR operations. If not using live weather, please be mindful of others who are using live weather and will be taking off and landing into the wind. Distance: 200 nm Est Flight Time: approx 80 mins Aircraft: Any GA aircraft capable of 160 to 180 kias and high altitude climb. Altitude: Not above 15,000 ft. The minimum safe altitude early in the flight is 8,500 ft. Flight plan File as: AYMH AYON AYKJ AYAO AYCB AWR AYWK GPS flight plan is available for FSX/P3D .pln, MSFS2020 .pln, X-Plane .fms and Little Navmap. Navigation: Pilots sufficiently familiar with the region may navigate visually. For those less familiar the accompanying GPS flight plan is the recommended method of navigation, however do not rely on the GPS unless well above the terrain. Communications UNICOM 122.8 unless directed by ATC. Scenery Due to the plethora of simulation platforms now being used, scenery is left to the discretion of each pilot. Note that many small airfields in Papua New Guinea may not appear in all scenery so T&G at intermediate locations is at the pilot's discretion.
