Once again another year has rolled around and I would like to gauge Interest from people about another get together around late july August some time.

Naturally this is open to all people not only Canberra.

If this is of intrest let me know via email [email protected] or via this post and I will work out the rest.

  2. Well said Ian, I also have been around since the Satco days and reading what i have read in the last 2 days by a small number of members upsets me.

Knowing the amount of unpaid time and effort put in by the likes of Rob,Terry, John, Roland etc to keep us all flying at no cost to us is a real credit to all . To have post's along these lines they must start to wonder why.

Not to mention the newbies, God what must they be thinking?

If we keep this up sooner or later we wont have a Vatpac to enjoy.

As stated by Rob get a grip.

  7. Hi All,

With the last one being popular I thought we made need some humour again!

I open all the bottles of kero in Coles and Woolies so i can get the jet fuel smell.

When driving on the highway I always travel along the centre line.

I get excited when i hear of a major storm in either Sydney or Melbourne

When listening to the scanner i think the ATC sounds just like the real thing on vatpac.

    :D

  8. Jackson,

I have also many a time over the years thought bugger it why go though all the argument's and crap that goes on . But it's a bigger person than me that could turn his/her back on Vatpac/sim after many years online.

For me this is a get away from my real life stresses such as work and kids to be able to unwind and do what i love flightsimming. You would like i have built some great friendships through vatpac and hopefully like I have a good feeling about being able to pass on knowledge from being around so long.

I don't know your reason's but at the end of the day despite what other's might think this is a game which we have all taken to a level we could not of belived 10 years ago and if you let your enjoyment be taken away by what ever reason it would not only be a loss to us but also over a time yourself.

    Best Regards

  9. The airline has two others ex An HYL and HYS.

Plane with 100 passengers crashes into Black Sea

    http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/200605/s1629517.htm

An Armenian Airlines aircraft carrying around 100 passengers has crashed into the Black Sea off the coast of the southern Russian city of Sochi.

The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry says debris from the Airbus 320, travelling from the Armenian capital Yerevan, has been spotted in the Black Sea six kilometres from shore.

Interfax news agency said the body of a woman had been retrieved from the sea.

The plane disappeared from radar screens as it was approaching Adler airport near Sochi, a resort town not far from the border between Russia and Georgia, at 2:15 am (2215 GMT) to land.

The emergency situation ministry earlier said it was dispatching a hydroplane to the site, as well as rescue and recovery teams.

  10. From the Vatsim code of conduct.

    10. Since this is a learning environment, there are times when a pilot may encounter a new air traffic controller who is in the process of learning his airspace and/or general air traffic control procedures. The same may be true of the controller who may find himself issuing ATC to a pilot flying online for the first time. Everyone should remember to exercise patience and courtesy to these new pilots and controllers.

  11. I will be sticking with PSS. I have every addon from PMDG, LDS and PSS. For me the Airbus does everything i need of it. Brendan i don't know what you mean about PSS not being there yet? The latest 777 is one of the best aircraft i have flown.

Having a look at those screen shots again they panel does look basic compared to PSS. If i remember this is PIC second go at the A320. The 1st went down quicker that the Titanic.

Ill giver her a miss and wait for the PMDG, But enjoy it anyway;)

  12. Looks ok but i can't see why you would change from the PSS Airbus fleet. Maybe a few years old now but still as good as they get.

PMDG have hinted they are also looking at a bus which if going by previous PMDG products will be worth the wait!
