  3. I have a pic somewhere, The lights have had to be taken out due to vandals but to give you an idea my driveway is about 30 metres long about 15 feet wide and I had 8 lights down each side.

  4. Senior Captain Steve Young and Check Captain Scott Thorpe on the flight deck.

It was a surpise at just how real the PMDG is to the real thing! I programed the FMC for a CB-SY leg in about 30 seconds and we were well into the start process before being reminded this was a real aircraft!

Tonight is going to be a real problem for ATC as most are now thinking outside the square coming from smaller airports in dash 8 etc.

last night 34 was the go with winds 340/20, Hopefully the same night.

    See you in the hold.

  6. Well I think we are very lucky to have Scanno in Vatpac, Not only could he smell the fumes he could also see them hiding on the overhead!:D

It seemed to take for ever to get that cotton wool into that plastic bag though. A gold logie preformance mate!

  7. Scanno,

I have a very reliable source that informs me that yourself and another drunk from the WF pilot crew are featured heavily in this program.

Training as I understand involved the local all you can eat for $11.95 Indian takeaway and a carton on crownies.

Today Tonight have been contacted with real story!:D (for a large fee of course)

  8. In fact gents you are all wrong!

China Southern is the test airline for a new method of takeoff. First used by the Thunderbirds the the 70's

This tried method from the TV show is simple, Bring the engines upto 100% V1 and release the jacks. This has proven to save time taxing and taking off not to mention tyres.

Landing is proving an issue as hitting the jacks at 140 knots and missing is not pretty!:o
