Hi all. I was lucky enough to be given a Flight Yoke for xmas and i want to get back into my flying. I thought it would be a good idea to do a complete reinstall of FSX so i did just that.
When i try to install a new copy of FSX it gets a few seconds into the install and it then asks for disk 2. Within a few seconds it comes up and says Error Number 0x80040702 Failed to load.
DLL:gameuxinstallhelper. Setup will now terminate.
I have spent hours reading forums and it seems i am not the only one who has had this problem however everything i try does not fix the problem. Can anyone help please. YMA1239

Just to let you all know i seem to have everything working now. Dont know what i did apart from doing a few re installs but it is connecting now so i am happy. Thanks for all your help. Col.

Steve. Ok i have done a complete reinstall following all instructions and it made no difference. I then uninstalled FSInn and installed Squawkbox. It connected ok but once again after about 30 seconds it disconnected me. I am wondering if because i havent been online for a year or two maybe my registration has been deactivated although i can still log into the Vatsim site.

Thanks for your quick reply's guys. I have tried all the above things and still it is not connecting or at least it is not staying connected. The FSInn program itself seems to be working ok. Its just when i connect to the 202.45.127.66 server it disconnects after about 30 seconds. Any other ideas.

I have decided to get back into flying online again after a few years away but i have a problem with FSInn. I have installed it as per instructions and it all works of until i try to connect to the local servers. It seems to be connected but after about 30 secs it times out. I have read and read all sorts of comments on the forums and have tried most things but still no luck. I am running Windows 7 - 64 bit. Any help would be just great. I have used the program many times before but it has me beat this time.

Maybe someone can help with this problem i have. I dont want to have to do a reinstall if i can help it. When i start the FS9 program and it finishes loading the scenery and texture files i have a Windows Installer box show up and says Preparing to install. Now nothing happens at all until i start FSinn and then the same thing happens again. Its only when i try to view WX within FSInn that the screen crashes out on me. Now i have tried running other windows programs such as ServInfo etc etc and it does not happen.
I was going to do a reinstall of FSInn but that would not stop it happening when i run FS9.
I dont even know if a fresh install of all my flightsim files would help as i think the problem could still be there. I havent got much hair left at 59 so dont want to start pulling any more out. Will wait for a few days to see if anyone has any ideas. Regards. Col YMA123

Just downloaded the patch from Voz to fix the problem Andrew and it worked. Mate you are a legend. I spent two nights trying to solve the problem.

I have this problem with my FSNav program. I cant get any Sids & Stars to show up when trying to set a flight plan within FSNav. All other airports are working fine. Have updated the AIRAC to the latest version. Have also downloaded the Sids & Stars data from the FSNav web page. Have run the FSNav DBC Database creator and still no luck. Can anyone help. Just dont know what to try next. I never had any problems before i did a disk reformat and reloaded all my Flightsim stuff back on the machine.
Maybe someone could email the required files to me and explain how to and where to put them to me. [email protected]

Aaron. Yes mate Steve and myself were only talking about that the other night while flying together with the East West across Australia event.

Lionel. I have to agree with you mate. Have tried FSInn and find the voice side of it rather hard to work out however there are fellow pilots that swear by it so i guess it comes down to personal choice. I am sure i did read somewere that there was an update due soon for SB3 so maybe it will be included with it. Regards. Col.

Since installing the latest FSInn i seem to have lost my pushback in FSCopilot. It starts up but will not complete the pushback movement.

Adrian. Thanks for the help mate. I really do like using SB3 but i do a lot of VFR flying with the EWA boys and it really peeves me off to see sails instead of aircraft so thought i would give FSInn a try. I also like to see the other aircraft painted in there livery but they are all painted in the Compass colours. Anyway i will try what you suggested and try again. Thanks. Col.

Hi everyone and may i wish you all a safe and happy new year. Now my problems. I have just installed FSInn as i want to join in the Moth crawl around Tassie and dont just want to see a bunch of sails but i am having a few problems. Maybe i am just a bit thick but i cant work out how the hell you get to use voice on Unicom. The other thing is i see all other aircraft in the Compass colours only. This is one of the reasons i have stuck with SB3 but now everyone tells me FSInn in the one to use. Any help would be great. Regards. Col.

Can anyone help me with this problem. When i start SB3 it comes up and says,

I have installed the Vatpac add on that was put out in October.

Jeremy. I have the Aircraft and love it. I have used it almost all the way around Australia in the EWAs Great Aussie Crawl on friday nights.

I started a flight from Melbourne to Sydney last night and my airspeed indicator was showing 0 and i was doing about 300 knots. I reloaded the aircraft again and same thing happened. Never had anything like that happen before. Have you ever noticed that guys who spend a lot of time on computers have very little hair left. I wonder why.

Apologies to ATC for disappearing off your screens tonight just as I reached FLT310 on the NSTU to PHNL flight. Some idiot hit a power pole down the road and we lost power for five mins. Just as I signed back in we lost it again for about an hour so I gave up in disgust.

Looks like we will have a good gathering of people and the weather is looking great for it also. The forcast is for South West winds so lets hope runway 19 is in use as all the action happens right in front of the viewing area.

Textures
in Scenery

Greig Yes mate thats exactly what i get. It shows up but its all light grey with no textures at all. Apart from that everything else is fine. It even flys like it should. I cant work it out as i have installed dozens of aircraft over the years and never had this problem. I have installed it manually and tried all sorts of things but it has me stumped. The aircraft i am trying to install is an ATR-500 which i downloaded from the Air New Zealand Virtual web site. Would be interested if someone else tried it and see if the textures show up. Anyway thanks for your quick reply and i look forward to hearing from you if you have any other suggestions on how to fix this problem.
