  1. Anyone know how to change the Altitude increments from 100 back to 10 on the Multi panel.  Mine is working fine but my friend just brought one and it only goes up in thousand foot increments. Very annoying.  Any help would be great.

  2. Ok pilots here is one for you to answer if you can.  We as a VFR Group have a problem with a few programs we use. The problem is the multiplayer aircraft only seem to update every now and then and when we are flying close it really is a pain in the bum when we are approaching an airport to do a T&G or final landing.  We all use different programs like Little Navmap or PlanG. I have this morning done a few tests using FSX and Xplane 11 and Little Navmap and PlanG. PlanG is taking two mins to update and Little Navmap is taking three mins to update. I personally use Little Navmap when flying VFR and i can see the multiplayer traffic but i also use  FSTramp which doesn't show Multiplayer traffic. FSCommander also shows Multiplayer traffic but its update is also very slow. Does anyone have any idea how this can be fixed or anyone know of a program that we could use to help enjoy our flying experience online.  By the way i should point out our own Aircraft updates every few seconds on all four programs.

  3. Hello there. My name is Col williams YMA123  and i have been flying online for 18 plus years. We all have our own sort of flying that we enjoy and i spend quite a bit of time flying online with my friends in a group we call the VFR Group. We fly Wednesday night in what we call the World Discovery flight where we fly usually for 60 to 80 mins in a light aircraft of our choice somewhere in the world.  This event is run by Dan Mckee YMA555 and the details are posted on the Vatpac calendar usually three  or four days in advance.

The Friday and Sunday nights flights are also VFR in the Aircraft of your choice and we usually fly some of the smaller outback airports and the flights usually last around 60 to 80 mins. These flights are set by Russell Diehl and can also be found on the Vatpac calendar usually the week before the event. Sometimes depending on the flight we are lucky enough to have ATC which makes things a lot more enjoyable.

The reason for this post is just to let pilots know if you are interested in joining us you are most welcome. We are at the moment using TeamSpeak as a communications channel as we now have pilots using FSX XPlane and Prepar3d so the CTAF frequencies just dont work with some of the programs.  If you would like to know more or would like to join us please just pop into the Daily Focus room on Teamspeak on either of those days and join in.  We are serious flyers and try to keep things as realistic as possible but we also have lots of laughs during the flights. Our numbers have dropped a little lately and it would be nice to have a few more new faces join us.

  4. Chris. Thanks for your input mate. i have tried everything and nothing has changed. It still updates about every three mins. If im flying IFR it is not a problem but i do a lot of VFR flying with a group of guys and so we are quite close together and it would be nice to see it as it is.  Thanks anyway.

  5. Can someone who is involved in running Vatpac please get Teamspeak up and running again. It cant be such a big problem as it is only the Vatpac connection that is not working.

  6. Lionel flew with the VFR group regularly on Friday Sunday and Wednesday nights but we haven't heard from him for awhile either. Hope he is well and nothing has happened to him.

  7. Doing most of my flying with the VFR group on Sunday Wednesday and Friday nights and having done so for years i have met many pilots i would now call very good friends having met most of them in person so instead of Fun V Realism i would call it Realism V Companionship. I also fly IFR some nights and commend the ATC guys for there commitment as that is where the realism really comes into it. To all those holding Vatpac together keep up the great work.

  8. Thats a shame as i have been an active member for years and have asked a few friends to join and the have put in applications and have not heard a thing back.

Can someone please ask Jackson to at least sign them up so we have some new blood in the group. A group of us fly IFR each Thursday night and we use the Compass TS Channel and so the new guys that i am talking about would like to join so they feel better about using the private channel. As i said in a previous post i know people get busy with other things in there life and if i can help in any way please just ask as i would hate to see it fold.

  9. Ok thanks to all those who answered my post. Look i am not getting at anyone for not being involved as i know only to well have life and family can take its toll on the hobby. I am now retired so i have all the time in the world to fly whenever i feel like it but understand not everyone is in that position. I just felt the airline was dying and it would be great if those involved could get it to the stage where pilots want to come and join. I love using VAFS5 so if there is another one in the pipeline that would be great.

Look forward to seeing more of you members online and lets get back to chatting on TS while we are flying like the good old days.

  10. Could someone please tell me who is running the airline at the moment and is it still actually running. I have been a member since 2005 and it just seems to have been left to run itself. The last person to join was Ketan on the 18th Dec 2013 so new pilots are not exactly flooding in. The forums may as will not exist as no one has made a post for ages. I would just like to know as i dont want to talk a friend into becoming a member if the whole thing is dead. i fly approx at least three times a week using the Compass callsign but i really only know of two other people who are active. Maybe its time to move on.

  11. Thank you Dan for bringing this up. I didnt happen to be there on the said night but we as a VFR group have had this sort of thing happen a few times now. Lets hope the said people will read this and we wont have to take the matter any further.
