The ADF are auctioning a fuselage of a Blackhawk S 70A if anyone is interested in building a sim. Looks in very clean condition, but doesn’t have glass or doors attached. Bids start at $1.

@Peter Story yes you can have a template. However you need to manually set runways. The program really only does text to voice as it’s primary function.
It probably won’t be good for people who like automation, as it needs input.
It does auto-update and alarm on new data. I have been allowing vATIS to notify me, and then manually update VRC atis.
It most definitely won’t be perfect, but I’m very happy with it. And believe that I am complying with MATS and VATPAC policy.

Maybe only thing that I can’t seem to work is the QNH units. I’ve posted on vATIS support, but not confident there is a way to convert units within the app.
I’m quite surprised we haven’t been using it widely before. The ability to add your CASA abbreviations into the contradictions makes it almost 100%.

Quigs, I’d love to say Stacey told me, but nah.
It is in the settings tab, you can choose FAA stuff and the nationality and ‘sex’ of the voice. I always use female Australian as it seems much easier on the ear......

vATIS is adaptable, in that you can setup the order of information. It is simply a tool that converts text into voice.
i’ve added a few CASA abbreviations into the contractions, so it reads like australia, and then use a female Australian voice.

Browny, I agree. Seems to work fine and provides what I need.

Suggestion; revive the VATPAC email and include events and support needed.
I generally don’t bid for ATC positions, the roster generally seems to always fill, and then positions are reserved. Maybe appoint an event co-ordination who would be online and able to assign positions if people turned up to help.

NOTE: There is a radar service, probably because it is a USAAF with active research going on.
whilst the USArmy does have numerous ATCOs within USAAvn it is possible that ATS are provided under contract, but my source hasn’t been able to confirm this.

Can I also draft a formal response to have the BIOT of Diego Garcia moves into VATOCE. It currently in the CoR sits with VATASIA who refuse to allow it to be manned, it actually sits within the VATSAF airspace, and is used by more Ozzies than anyone else.
I am prepared to draft a proposal document, IF we are prepared to submit it.

Nick, I’ve had same experience for over a month. PGUM_CTR and I have voice atis working every time, but not once on BN-TBP_CTR. I thought it was me going mad.

Perhaps like greg said the old top five list on the front page, or something I like is a evil controller list with hours for the month. HCF has it under controller stats, resets each month.

I know it’s early days.
seems a lot of controllers haven’t removed the voice room (rw1.vatpac.org) from their coms panel, as in Swift is says they are on rw1.vatpac.org/nnnnnn. milked adding the atis frequency also.

Must just be old age. I honestly cannot obtain anyone’s text atis from anywhere, but most importantly official software. So if I ask via pm, please humour me.
