Hi Tristan,
Please email at [email protected] and I'll give you some help! I'm sure myself or a mentor can give you an unofficial training session if you need it.
Will do!!

Are we particularly talking about Heli Ops? Or just a general overview.
A general evening on helicopter operations, everything to do with it. I felt annoyed when I could not provide proper service to a heli yesterday.

Hello, I was wondering if there was any chance of getting a training evening or something along the lines of that, That aims at teaching heli ops to ATC. I understand that it may not take that long, But just go over everything as heli ops is not covered in the S2 training.

Hi All,
Just a friendly reminder that as a VATPAC controller, we expect you to have a detailed knowledge of the procedures and airspace applicable to the sector you are controlling when you choose to logon. VATSIM CoC section C1 states:
VATPAC provides several resources including Local Instructions, ATC Assist and the links to charts wherever possible to ensure you have the tools to understand the airspace. Just a reminder though, while ATC Assist is a fantastic tool, it can be wrong. You should always check before assigning someone a SID that their flight plan definitely takes them via the SID. The Local Instructions also have information on standard runway configurations, standard SIDS, standard assignable altitudes as well as how the airspace is split, frequencies available to controllers and the navaids located in the area.
This is not directed at anyone. We are all learning. I recently learned a few things from the Sydney Local Instructions which were being explained on Discord. It got me thinking, how well do I know the Local Instructions?
Finally, if you're ever unsure of something, ask! You should never be worried about asking a fellow controller something. If someone asks you something, help! We're all here to learn and grow as a community and we don't expect anyone to be perfect!
This is very true, today I logged onto CG_twr for the first time, had no idea. Local area and ATC assist helped slot, as well as some more experienced controllers.

Maitland to Pmq is such an amazing flight, I feel that it should be selected more often for vfr friday or sundays. Any thoughts?

A heli ops night would be fun, I think I might learn to fly a copter just for that!

Where can I currently download AVC?

As someone who is currently doing air force cadets, A tafe course, and year 11, I quite often get the call to come out to do some revision with friends. Of course this comes more important than flight sim, Although as I have started my S2 training, I have not piloted much and probably will not pilot much anymore.

Hello Tristan,
I am not aware there is one for XP11 but there is no requirement to fly this specific airframe just something that will hold with the group ok all RAAFv pilots will be flying PC-21, So your aircraft choice is completely up to youAny suggestions?

Hi, Where can we get this plane for xp11?

This has become a mess, For us normals here, Lets just think about a quote which may seem derogotory. "Let the baby have their bottle". The bottle may be what we are using as well, But if the baby wants it, let it use it. There is no reason for us to argue, Some resolution will come in the near future.

Well done all! I hope to be a part of the next Iron Mic!

So, just bought the aerosoft a320. Loving it. I have a few questions, How can i remap f9 to be virtul cockpit view (fsx) and how can i remap f10 to be outside view, And how can i cycle threw views. never needed this before, since i have only used the mjc dash8 q400, carenado sr22 and the carenado tbm 850. Anyways, have a nice day.

Hi folks,
It's been an eventful 7 or so months here at VATPAC and my time as Acting Division Director rapidly draws to a close.
I want to take this opportunity to thank the community for your patience as your new Board took shape and got their heads around the challenges that lie ahead, something they have thus far excelled at.
I'd also like to quickly dispel some rumours. I have not, and have no current plans to apply for the VATOCE1 role. Additionally, although I did initially apply to remain as VATPAC1, that application has since been withdrawn. My understanding is that this may trigger a re-opening of applications for VATPAC1 but that will be decided and/or announced by someone at a higher pay grade than I.
I look forward to going back to holding only 1 role....that of the ugliest woman at VATPAC.
Thanks again for the privilege of being able to look after our community.
Thank you so much Tracy.
