  1. G'day All.

My current question comes to the attention of the Teamspeak server, particularly that of the 'Staff' Permission that is held by (SOME) staff members.

My main issue is what is the criteria the demes some staff to be given the permission while others do not.

This is coming to my attention because I have noticed some training staff members hold this badge whilst others (Like Myself)  do not have the staff badge, however, regional staff have the Staff Badge, who are not exactly 'Staff' for VATPAC.

Another aspect is that staff without the staff badge cannot moderate the server if a new member joins or other similar. Meaning this is left up to other staff who may not be online...

    Let me know.

Sorry for the Spelling (Done on Phone.)

  2. Congratulations to the Winners from WAAF_CTR with a quirky callsign (Ujung Control)  ;D

Things definitely got heated during the event, at one stage I remember there being 20+ pilots on 128.100  :-X

Great job to all involved, most where happy to enter the hold and not get annoyed if they where stuck there for 20+ minutes, mainly CBU213, GIA711 and CPA791, who where in holds for the longest time

Images to come in an Hr.

  3. Hey, Nick.

Definitely would not go with C, by the sounds he was going extremely slow (for a VFR anyway), So getting him to maintain visual separation with departing aircraft that probably are faster than him on the takeoff roll is not the safest idea.

a sounds like a little bit of fun if he was unable to hold 6000. Whenever you have an aircraft that is causing conflict. Just move him

Also. I don't think this would ever happen IRL, because VFR Aircraft need a clearance to enter the C airspace, so the controller would make sure he will not be an issue prior to giving the aircraft clearance.

In this case, because the Aircraft was at 5000 and there where departures out of Melbourne, there are two ways to go about this.

    1) Vector the VFR aircraft away from the Departure SIDS.

    2) Tell departures, "Maintain 4000" when you clear them for takeoff. (WATCH THE MVA's)

Both of these will assure separation. As long as the aircraft doesn't descend ;)

  4. Hey All.

Rescently i had my Mentor badge removed from me.

I have been asking many Deputy Directors and they have all been unable to assign me the Mentor Bagde.

I am not trying to be rude, but my Permission was removed on Wednesday and has now affected one of my students, as we had to do training in the Help Room, which is not entirely ideal.

Honestly, Callum, i have no idea why you removed my Permission from me in the first place, considering that the only reason it was removed was because i moved Dan ONCE!

Aside from it affecting my Student, you also never messaged me or posted anything on the forums detailing exactly why you removed my Perm, which is just confusing to me.

When someone gets the chance can you please come and re-assign my Permissions, Thanks!

    P.S.

Sorry for my English, i aint so good at it  :)

  5. Hello, Everyone  :)

Quick Question with regards to Euroscope and the TAAATS mod plugin.

I am currently running 3 screens and would like to have it so i can view everything without having to change screen outlay, for example.

ML-SNO_CTR Covering Top Down MEL, Not Extending

However, My Problem Persists that when i connect multiple screens via proxy. for some reason the tags for aircraft who were previously correlated now become uncorrelated.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this issue?

  6. Speaking of the RVSM X.... why is one of them orange and the other one blue?

    My understanding;

The ‘X’ only illuminates orange to alert the controller when the AFL or CFL is within the RVSM Band (ie FL290 and above)

In this case, the leading aircrafts AFL meets this, whereas the trailing aircraft does not... yet.

Why FL290? vMATS vertical standard “V3 - 2000ft” dictates these requirements (ref: 3.6.3.3)

Doesn't the Highlighted X mean they are not RVSM Equipped, I.E. they require 2000ft Separation in the RVSM Band with any other passing Aircraft? (Excluding Supersonic Jets). I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the aircraft being in the RVSM band :)

  7. "the frequencies arent set to each RA it is chosen from a group of frequencies that is in real life anyway in saying that RAAFv wouldnt use more than say 4 freq and then they are based on roles eg FCC would be 122.70 & refueller would be on 121.80 for instance, "

That does not present a problem.  If I understand ES correctly the controller frequencies do not have to be tied to a sector.  Not sure about VRC,  yet.

You are Semi Correct there Quigs.

I've been mucking around with creating sector files. The Voice rooms are bound with a Controller Logon Code.

    For Example;

When you log on ML-SNO_CTR, Euroscope looks for a Voice Channel that matches your Controller Logon, if it finds one, it sets it as the Primary Frequency.

The Other Idea is Sector Ownership, because if R225 logs on, the Overlying sector/centre "Territory I believe it is" would have to see that R225's Airspace is now active/under control. So all the Sector Files would have to be split for this to work. Effectively  :)

    Side Note:

If this gets approved. Richard, i am more than happy assisting with splitting the Sector Files with you for this new arrangement :)

  8. Hello, All.

This is mainly pointed towards the events department :)

Whilst browsing on the Calendar, I looked at 'de-spill Milk Run Monday YSSY / YMML' and the controller frequency for Sydney Ground is showing as 121.700, instead of 126.500

Can we please make sure that we are not getting the frequency incorrect :)

    Thanks!

  9. AsA are not in the habit of putting "not below" on STARs and "not above" on SIDs (as usual Sydney is an exception). These can cause confusion... what is the phraseology for "descend to 4000" while observing the restriction and "descend to 4000" bypassing the restriction? As a result, we have ICAO phraseology changes coming in November... e.g. "descend via STAR to 4000" (see this AIP SUP for details).

Yuck  ;D We are turning into NZ
