    Good Evening Everyone, It is my greatest pleasure to announce to you all that Mr Cameron Wilbraham has been appointed to the position of Deputy Director of Events. Cameron was the outstanding applicant for the position and has shown great enthusiasm for his role within the Events Department over the past month. Personally I look forward to working with Cameron on VATPAC's Events into the future. His outstanding work ethic is something that will greatly benefit the team in the long term. This NOTAM is the reservation of positions for the purpose of East Coast Connect - Sydney & Brisbane 2 RESERVED POSITIONS The following positions are reserved from 0800z - 1200z on Saturday the 5th of September 2020. Controllers are only permitted to control the below positions provided the criterion in 3 REQUIREMENTS TO OPEN POSITIONS are satisfied. BN_DEL BN_GND BN_TWR BN_APP CG_TWR CG_APP BN-DOS_CTR BN-MDE_CTR SY_APP SY_TWR SY_GND SY_DEL 3 REQUIREMENTS TO OPEN POSITIONS Controllers are only permitted to open the reserved positions if: The controller roster has your name as the nominated controller; The position does not have a controller assigned to the position during the hour you are intending to log on; Approved to open the position from the controller rostered on the position; or The controller rostered on the position during the slot time has not showed to their position (at least 10 minutes after beginning of slot) See 7 APPENDIX for examples to clarify the above if any confusion occurs. 4 EVENT ROSTERING TRIAL During September & October, East Coast Connect is being rostered to trial the suitability of rostering weekly and fortnightly events in this manner into the future. Applications are now sought from members of the VATPAC Division for the position of Deputy Director, Events (VATPAC15) Reports To: VATPAC Director, Events Direct Reports: VATPAC Event Coordinators Duties: Responsible for the management, promotion and execution of all official VATPAC events. Provides oversight and organisation to event coordinators Acts in a lead role to ensure all tasks required in the planning of events are completed to a high standard and on time. Responsible for the Maintenance of the VATPAC Events webpage(s). Maintains an online presence of 5-10 hours per month on the VATSIM network. Assist the Director, Events with other tasks as required. Essential Criteria: Be a current member of the VATPAC Division for at least 12 months. Be a member in good standings with VATSIM for at least 12 months at the time of application. Must be at least S3 rated. Be able to work well with the VATPAC Board and community Have the ability to maintain focus and organisation over the long run. Be able to work well within a voluntary organisation. Be able to work as a Team Player.
