    Hi Jacob,

How is this relevant to the original post?  Alan's statement about the Discord Server deserves it's own thread.

Apologies I should've been more clear, that is what the post that Quigs posted contained.

  2. Hello all staff,

I have had a chat with the Division Director and he was going to post this but he has been caught up in a work incident and is unable to get at the forum for a while. As he wanted you to be informed straight away he has asked me to post it.

Yesterday I was forced to make a quick decision that I was not very comfortable with. A rather nasty situation was developing on the Discord and I needed to stop it quickly before it turned into a more disgusting situation than it already was. I took the unusual decision for myself and that was to interfere in a Divisional matter, a right that I have but hoped I would never have to use. I have a duty of care to everyone in this Region and that is a responsibility that I take very seriously indeed.

I would like to thank everyone for the messages of support and suggestions and to my delight every message was in good taste and constructive.  I have listened to your concerns and I am now acting on them in the way I think will be the best solution. I know I will not please everyone but I do hope that you will understand and support me in this.

The server will not be deleted just simply locked. Until the current situation cools down it will remain like this as I do not want anymore unpleasant situations to arise. Once I am satisfied that we are in a better place I will ask all staff not just Board members to vote on whether or not Discord should return. This will make the decision a democratic decision and not someone dictating what will happen. If the Staff wish to open it again a new set of guidelines will be drawn up so that all staff and members know exactly where they stand. What is acceptable and what is not. This will also include a guide for staff on how suspensions will be dealt with. This will not be one persons decision but a collective decision.

Once again thank you for your messages today and if anyone has any questions feel free to message me or Scott and we will respond as soon as we can.

    Best wishes

    Alan

  3. Hi Alan,

Not sure if I should be commenting on this thread or not but I find it interesting that the actions of one person, namely the allegations against Tracy and his threat have created enough of a problem that it ruins it for everyone else using the discord properly, I was witness to most of the allegations against him along with others but I felt that I was not in a position where I could do something about it. These problems are not a Discord limited issue as I believe having it on Teamspeak will actually make this issue worse because there is a bigger chance for private voice communications to occur which have have no logs whereas in Discord where the majority of communications are text which gives management plenty of opportunity to find problematic discussions.

    • Thanks 3
  4. Yeah, I was just speaking about him the other day with some people. It was always good to have him on the airwaves, I hope he is okay.

  6. Sorry to open up the discussion to other sectors, but this is the reason for my suggesting OXLEY goes to SNO.

Technically, I cannot provide VOZ332 a service for that 75NM area where it is in TBD airspace, since I am not/do not want to extend all the way to YPAD (TBD).

I like the idea Zach, however, with your proposal. aircraft travelling from YPAD to YSSY etc. have to contact 3 Center Controllers instead of 2

That shouldn't be an issue because sectors around the south east should take priority of YMML and YSSY and their arrivals.

  7. Hi, I'd like to admit that this may have been my doing, I was a little stressed as I believe it was just before the departure of the WF aircraft from YMEN so I was more concerned about the actions of which they were doingas I knew they were going to do some form of formation takeoff. Apologies to the aircraft involved.

  8. Will they accept airport icaos for inclusion?

I've added heaps of small fields to my servinfo and modified airlines to better reflect today's situation.

    Eg YHPT

So I guess the question is, will the airports be restricted?

That's the best thing about Accumap is that because a lot of the stuff is server side you can submit any corrections via this form.

Please make sure though that the correction hasn't already been added at this link
