Over the past few months VATPAC has run a series of bi-weekly, educational events for pilots keen on VFR general aviation operations. The goal of the events has been to introduce pilots to proper flight radio and airspace procedures, starting out at a remote CTAF for circuits, then graduating to cross-country navigation exercises and culminating in an awareness of, and proper entry to controlled airspace with full ATC interaction.

It's been really encouraging to see the number of pilots turning up each week and very rewarding to watch their progress through each exercise. Thanks to all who have flown at some stage in the program.

We'd like to specially congratulate the following pilots who successfully completed the course by signing up, attending and meeting the objectives of each session:

Chris Baker

Murray Hooper

Dave Austin

Peter Williams

John Lucas

A very special thanks to Paul Phibbs who has spent loads of time and money organising resources and briefing packages each week. Thanks also to the ATC who made a commitment to help each week.

We're looking forward to running the series again in the near future.
