Join the 2007 World Flight ATC team!

Monday 5th November - Sunday 11th November 2007

For those who don't know, World Flight is a special annual event during which teams fly full-scale flight simulators around the world in to raise funds for their respective charities.

After a massive year in 2006, World Flight continues to snowball bigger and bigger with a number of new teams forming and coming on board. A new 737-700 team joins us from New York [http://www.wfusa2007.org/] and we anticipate more exciting news in the near future. :) Each World Flight team brings with it a gaggle of local supporters who join in from home and the ramps just keep getting more and more crowded.

24/7 ATC for the world flight entourage was provided for the first time in 2005 and again in 2006 from the custom built mini TAAATS-modelled "centre" at World Flight Australia HQ in Sydney. We'll be at it again this year and we're beefing up ATC capacity this year to cope with the additional traffic.

If you are interested in joining the WF ATC team this year, we are now inviting people to come forward and make a commitment. A number of people have already contacted me to express their interest - now is the time to follow up. Working in a "centre" environment with all the latest toys and tools is a great experience and we always have a good time between shifts.

If you are interested in joining the ATC team based at WF HQ in Sydney, send an email to [email protected]. The event is still 5 months away but the roster will be started shortly.

The recent "Panic Stations" events are a drop in the bucket compared to the homecoming legs of WF!

Regards,

Rob
