NOTAM: WorldFlight 2020 - Departures

1. Introduction

Worldflight 2020 will depart from Sydney (YSSY) on the morning of the 1^st November (Local Time) and travel through VATPAC Airspace via Adelaide (YPAD), Perth (YPPH) and Port Hedland (YPPD). 

VATPAC will provide ATC services for the departure legs using controllers who have registered to control via the VATPAC Events website (https://events.vatpac.org).

This NOTAM contains details of controller positions reserved for use during the event and procedures developed and implemented to manage traffic levels throughout the day.  This content is relevant to both ATC and pilots participating in Worldflight legs.

 

2. Reserved Controller Positions

The following control positions are hereby reserved under VATPAC Controller Positions and Ratings Policy 4.1 for Worldflight operations during the indicated times (format DDHHMM eg. 022030 refers to 2030z on the 2^nd November UTC).

**Note** Port Hedland has been designated a Class C Aerodrome with full ATC Services for this event. The Port Hedland TMA will extend SFC-FL245 40nm around YPPD. A photo is provided below. ***

3.1. Un-rostered or unfilled ATC Positions

While unreserved ATC positions may be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, any un-rostered controller wishing to contribute on the day should contact any of the above coordinators to offer and coordinate their services.
