1. Introduction:

The Controller Information and ATIS Policy is in place to provide guidelines for information that should be presented within the Controllers information when logging onto the Network. The changes are being made to best fit the current VATPAC operations and the changes are in line with consultation with the VATPAC Community and the VATPAC Board of Directors.

2. Changes to the Policy:

Following feedback from the community, VATPAC has published a change to the Controller Information and ATIS Policy, in order to make extended coverage clearer to pilots, and bring our controller information format in line with many other divisions. These changes affect TMA and Enroute controllers, and require displaying any Top Down aerodrome coverage or extended sector coverage, as well as an ATC Feedback link.

There are some little exceptions, so we recommend reading through the new policy and NOTAM regarding the changes. These changes, while published, will not come into effect until 31 July 2017, allowing time for controllers to adjust and be notified of the relevant updates.

3. Distribution:

This NOTAM is issued by VATSIM Australia Pacific (VATPAC) and shall be

distributed via:

(a) VATPAC Forums

(b) VATPAC Website

4. Effective Date:

While the policy is published and is recommended to be used as a guideline, these

changes will not come into effect until 31 July 2017 - 00:00 UTC.

5. Cancellation:

This NOTAM will self-cancel 01 August 2017 – 00:00 UTC.
