Unacceptable Behaviour

Recently we have become aware of some unacceptable behaviour taking place on the VATPAC TeamSpeak rooms where members were making disparaging comments about others, based on race. Once again let us make this perfectly clear, the VATPAC Forums, TeamSpeak rooms, and Facebook pages are all considered just as much a part of VATPAC and the VATSIM.net network as being online connected to the network, all subject to the Code of Conduct, the Code of Regulations and the User Agreement. Equally clearly you must treat others with respect at all times. Comments based on race (or nationality, or colour, or religious affiliation, or gender, or sexual orientation) are something we simply will not countenance under any circumstances. Even if it is later claimed such comments were made in jest.

Simply put this sort of behaviour can not and will not be tolerated at any time, ever. It is clear and flagrant breach of the VATSIM Code of Conduct.

The staff are monitoring the situation. Do it again and you will be caught. If you are lucky you will be dealt with according to the usual process for disciplinary action under the Code of Conduct and Code of Regulations. However you may be unlucky. I draw your attention to a particular section in the User Agreement. This UA is something we all agreed to when we joined VATSIM. The section in question allows the Founders to unilaterally declare your membership of VATSIM undesirable and against the best interests of the network. If that happens you are gone, instantly, permanently, and without any right of appeal whatsoever. It does happen.
