VATPAC is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to take on the role of Deputy Director of ATC Training.

The ATC training administration role is an important one and one which demands a high level of involvement by administration staff. The introduction of this position will reduce workload upon instructor staff, but at the same time improve upon service delivery.

Interested applicants should be willing to take upon ATC training administration tasks such as replying to trainee enquiries, and training applications, certificate administration, and monitoring student hours online. The applicant must be prepared to spend around 20 minutes each day undertaking these such administration tasks and should have a reliable internet connection.

A willingness to support the organisation, and help controllers achieve their training goals is a primary consideration for persons taking on this role. This is a great opportunity to give back to the organisation, and a great opportunity to advance through the organisation.

The successful applicant will become a VATPAC staff member and take on the call sign of VATPAC13. Becoming a staff member allows the applicant to have input into the management of the organisation and may be a great opportunity to advance toward a board member position in the future. This position is a non-voting position, however a proxy voting role may become necessary in the absence of the training director.

The applicant need not hold any specific level of ATC rating, though those holding a senior student rating or above will be considered with favour.

Applications should be sent to [email protected] and the applications process will close after the 15th of October, 2010.
