Shannon W - 811815
It is regret that I announce the resignation of Luke Bruce-Smith from the Director of Training role (VATPAC3). Luke has been instrumental with the accomplishments that he has achieved in his time in what is often an appreciated role, where many many hours are spent doing background things which you may just casually glance at ... but is vitally important to the training of our new controllers. Luke of course he has had to step into "big shoes" left by his predecessor Andrew, however much to my delight, the training team has continued in leaps and bounds under Luke's leadership. Some of Luke's key accomplishments include the continuation and development of Moodle, the alignment of our controller ratings with the new VATSIM GRP requirements and the continued development of more practical training sessions, giving upcoming controllers more "hands on" experience, before being let out in into the virtual world. Luke's direction is a key reason why we have so many new controllers hitting our virtual scopes each week, and his work in leading the training team, is a key reason why flying in VATPAC is so enjoyable. Luke - on behalf of all of VATPAC, thank you for all you've done with VATPAC, enjoy your virtual "retirement" and look forward to seeing you in the virtual skies Shannon Director of Division P.S. :teeth:
