Please provide the Pilot briefing. The event runs today and the briefing was supposed to be available three days ago. I'm training a number of new pilots using this event and need to be prepared.
Hi Paul, please see the above comment where it was announced on the 25th.

Hello Everyone.
There was an error with the controller booking system only showing ENR availability (or failing that, not even showing the event.)
Both of these errors have been rectified. Apologies for the confusion and inconvenience.
Apply for ATC here https://events.vatpac.org/tma-turnaround-double-trouble

Hello Everyone.
Little bit of clarification for this event. We are looking to cover the following positions
- ML_DEL, ML_GND, ML_TWR, ML_APP
- SY_DEL, SY_GND, SY_TWR, SY_APP
- ML-SNO_CTR, BN-MDE_CTR, BN-TSN_FSS (Requires Oceanic Endorsement)
This may be clear for some - But just in case this is the list - Enjoy tonight!

At what time zulu is this event ?
This event starts at 0939z and runs until around 1130z. However you will find ATC online well before this time 😀
I have also fixed the timing on this event so it should show in your local time zone.

Hello Tony,
This event is tomorrow... are you checking to see if controllers are online where you are currently?
Use afv-map.vatsim.net to check receiver and frequencies currently available.

Will charts for WADD & YPPH be provided?
Afternoon Mate;
WADD Charts are hard to come by, so unless you have a Navigraph Subscription, your best bet will be something along these lines https://www.raafais.gov.au/Pdf/TERMRW_04Apr13/BALI_Ngurah_Rai.PDF (It is 8 Years out of date but is still mostly accurate.)
YPPH Charts can be found here -> http://www.airservicesaustralia.com/aip/current/dap/AeroProcChartsTOC.htm#p
To answer your question, charts will be provided (free) but paid service charts will not

You never HAVE to unofficially hold one.
That is correct, @Tristan Garratt you did not exactly "Hold" one, you made one post on the forums, and another on the Facebook group.
As of late, we have been doing an Iron Mic every Quarter, so there are plenty of opportunities for you to get involved throughout the year (28 to be exact)

Bugger - I will be on Holiday this year - TSN will need someone else this year

I will probably push myself onto AY_TWR, VFR Aircraft are welcome to use IRL Procedures, we will see how it goes (As well as IFR)

Oh yeah. I am just waiting for the results of my assesment,
Hey Tristan.
From previous experience, the Events Department will not put you on a position during a busy period if you have not had your rating for a considerable amount of time. I think it is highly improbable that you will be placed on the roster during the event time. However, the next event we have will most likely be promising.
Note: I do not speak for the Events Department - From previous "Open" Discussions in a public environment, this information has been provided to me - it does not confirm nor deny the fact you may be added in the roster for this event

It did too lol - @Tristan Duncombe plz fix as i can't
-
Changed my Mind, I will take Sunshine Coast (ALL VFR TRAFFIC WELCOME!)
