This July, brought to you by VATPAC in collaboration with the Indonesia and Singapore vACC's, we are delighted to present Long Haul - South East Asia Connect! Fly from Melbourne or Adelaide to either Jakarta or Singapore and expect full ATC all the way along the 6-8 hour stretch! From the red desert of Australia's centre, to the tropics of Java, you're bound to enjoy the scenery along the way!  Join us with departure times ranging from 0300z to 0600z and arrival times ranging 1000z to 1400z for this incredible long haul marathon! 

 

Event Details:

Long Haul - South East Asia Connect provides pilots with the opportunity of flying a long haul leg with full ATC! Pilots will be able to depart from two airports, Melbourne (YMML) and Adelaide (YPAD) and will be able to fly to either Singapore (WSSS) or Jakarta (WIII). The following times are indicative of when ATC services will be rostered during this event. In order to guarantee ATC services during your flight, you are highly recommended to depart during the departure windows listed below.

DEP Fields

• Melbourne Airport (YMML): 0300z - 0500z
• Adelaide Airport (YPAD): 0400z - 0600z

ARR Fields

• Jakarta Airport (WIII): 1000z - 1300z
• Singapore Airport (WSSS): 1100z - 1400z

Pilots Arriving into Singapore (WSSS) are highly recommended to be familiar with the Pilot Briefing Pack before arrival. The package is available here: https://vats.im/wsss

We recommend bringing some extra holding fuel as controllers will be busy trying to accommodate the influx of pilots whilst trying to maintain separation standards.

Any controllers interested in providing ATC services during this event are encouraged to apply here. Applications will be open until Wednesday the 13th of July, on which the roster will be released for public viewing.
