It is once again that time of the year!

VATPAC invites members across the whole world to join the departure legs in Australian Airspace of WorldFlight 2021. WorldFlight is an annual event in which 12 full-sized simulators, are flown in unison for a week, 24 hours a day, circumnavigating the world! The event tests both the crews and the simulators to the extreme and is all for the purpose of raising money for each of the individual sims charities of choice.

The WorldFlight Teams and you (hopefully!) will depart Sydney on the 7th at 8:00am AEDT (2100z) and arrive a week later on the 13th at 8:50pm AEDT (0935z). With full ATC along the way, all VATSIM members are invited along to join in from home.

For those of you who applied for WorldFlight Departure, thank you for your patience whilst site issues occurred throughout the day. Unfortunately these issues have not yet been resolved, which is currently making it impossible to publish the WF roster for everyone to review via the site (The issue is still unknown at this stage.)

Please find below the photos of the WorldFlight Roster as of 1030z on the 5th of November 2021. The times below are in AEST, so you will need to do some calculations if you are on a different timezone, being:

+ 60 minutes = AEDT

- 30 minutes = ACST

- 120 minutes = AWST

In addition, please also find the WorldFlight Departure Controller Briefing here (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-Yib5N7cl859KsicdcJfhbBXxSQ-OYho/view?usp=sharing) – It is expected that all controllers who control during WorldFlight read, and follow this briefing unless otherwise instructed. Please take note of aerodrome Briefing times which any ADC/TCU controller must attend if controlling at that location.
