Cameron W - 1411415
Welcome to the next rendition from the Light Up series, Light up Western Australia! It is time to pull out those regional aircraft or commercial airliners and explore Australia's largest state, as we attempt to provide the most realistic ATC services for you as you travel to the many stunning destinations that Western Australia has to offer. From the bustling city of Perth to the beauty of the Kimberly, Western Australia is a spectacle of natural wonder! What is Light Up Western Australia? This event revolves around one of our older events (Regionals and Twins) with the idea being to provide ATC services to more regional locations around the country. Our regional towns don't get the love like the big cities do, so let's change that! Travel to those often-forgotten destinations and provide controllers and pilots alike a different challenge—a chance to fly into an unfamiliar location and try an approach other than the usual ILS approach. During this event, you will receive an Outside Control Airspace Service at most of our airfields from the overlying ENR Controller. Pilots can expect the following service types depending on the class of airspace. Suggested Major Routes: Western Australia has so much to offer and explore! Whether your flight is high or low, fast or slow, there are plenty of routes to fly. Find some of our suggested routes below, bearing in mind that Pilots are more than welcome to fly other routes from other destinations! Charts for all airports can be found here.
