VATPAC is proud to present the latest in our new line of events. Light up Queensland! It is time to pull out those regional aircraft and travel across the eastern coast of Australia as we attempt to provide the most realistic ATC services for you as you travel to the luxurious holiday destinations that Queensland has to offer. Travel between Cairns, Hamilton Island, Mackay, Rockhampton and Brisbane with the expectation of full ATC Services from 0700z - 1100z

What is Light Up Queensland?
This event revolves around one of our older events (Regionals and Twins) with the idea being to provide ATC services to more regional locations around the country. Lets be honest, our coastal towns don’t get the love like the big cities do, so lets change that! Travel to those often forgotten destinations and provide controllers and pilots alike a different challenge. A challenge to fly into a unfamiliar location and try an approach other than the famous ILS approach.

Controllers interested in controlling the event are encouraged to submit their ATC Applications here - Applications will remain open until 3-4 days prior to the event, of which the roster will be compiled on the website.
