NOTAM - AIRAC1911 Sector File and Client Installer Downloads

1 INTRODUCTION

The VATPAC sector files are normally produced and developed by the operations department every 3 months. Due to the introduction of Audio for VATSIM, the Operations department has decided to release a sector file and euroscope installer update to better facilitate Audio for VATSIM. 2 DETAILS

• Sector file differences: When using ES, you may place a tick in the SCT2 box in OTHERSET/Display Settings/Freetext. Using VRC, you can click menu View/Static Text. Provided you are using the new sector files you will now see the frequency next to en route sector names on the scope.  En-route controllers should update their sector files to ease the process of transferring pilots to cross-coupled, adjacent sector frequencies which are NOT displayed in pilot clients.
• Voice file: Due to the changes implemented in AFV, when connecting a primary frequency, controllers should NOT be activating a primary frequency with a previously-live voice server. Updating you VOICE.txt will remove all the rw1.vatpac.org links from the voice communication setup. Therefore, anyone who does NOT use the Euroscope Package Installer should manually update this file in /Documents/Euroscope. 
• VATPAC Euroscope Package Installer: The package installer incorporates the new sector files and the new VOICE.txt file. In addition, it also is set's the .asr files to automatically display the adjacent sector frequencies for en route profiles. Remember, delete the /Document/Euroscope/VATPAC folder before running the AIRAC 1911 installer. 
• VRC Users should manually update their profiles and replace the VOX Server: rw1.vatpac.org with noserver to ensure there is no conflict with the live network.
