1 INTRODUCTION
With the improved surveillance coverage available from ADSB and the mandatory requirement for aircraft transponders, the en route surveillance services at some regional Class D airports has been increased.

2 DETAILS
The responsibility for administering airspace between A085 and A045 has changed from tower positions to en route positions at Tamworth, Alice Springs, Albury, Launceston and Hobart.


When the Hobart and Launceston Towers are closed, en-route surveillance Class D services are provided between 1,500 and 4,500 ft.
