Don Collins Posted February 26, 2013 Share Posted February 26, 2013 The VATPAC Pilot Training selection panel has recently considered the applications for Pilot Instructors and Pilot Coaches. I have pleasure is announcing the following Pilot Training Staff appointments: Instructor- Pilot Training Team Chris Horsley Chris Horsley has been selected to join the team as an Instructor , Chris has RL Pilot qualifications (CPL with MECIR, SF34, RG/CSU) and related RL experience and he will ably supplement the existing Instructors involved in the VATPAC Pilot Training Programs , initially he will be joining the other instructors in assessing and instructing on the P1 program and when approved P2. He will assist the team in development of the P4 and P5 rating packages. Welcome Chris. Pilot Training Program Administrator – Pilot Coach(S) Hayden McClure Hayden McClure will continue to contribute as a Pilot Coach and he has agreed to carry out the duties of Pilot Training Administrator to further enhance and develop his skills to gain promotion to Instructor. Hayden is a very active member of VATPAC with many hours of experience of on-line flying as well as being an VA executive. The administration role is essential to the Pilot Training program expansion in 2013 as we roll out the other ratings. Hayden has a C1 ATC rating and is training for his PPL in RL. Thanks Hayden for the extra commitment. Pilot Coach – Kurt D’Amico Kurt has been selected as a Pilot Coach. Kurt is also active as a pilot in our division and will join our team to provide support to the instructors in guiding candidates through our program . Kurt will join the team at a time when a refined approach to coaching will be implemented where his ATC ratings and his RL PPL training will enhance his pilot coaching delivery.
