What is Regionals and Twins? Taking the focus off major airports and the big jets, Regionals and Twins celebrates both Australia's vast network of inland and outback hubs and the aircraft that service them. You'll need a prop, turbo-prop or small business jet to get in and out of most of the places visited in a Regionals and Twins event but you'll get to enjoy some spectacular scenery as you cruise along at low levels. Controllers are also taken out of their comfort zone as ATC often sees procedural positions. This week's Details This month we'll be focusing on Albury airport. Albury airport is an airport 240nm to the south west of Sydney and sits on the north side of the VIC / NSW state border. Its main purpose is to service the city of Albury with its 1,900 meter long runway. This airport services about 280,000 passenger movements each year making it the second busiest regional airport in NSW.
