  1. Not sure about you guys but the 777 also doesn't appeal to me primarily because of the average length of flights ie. 8hrs +. I've always preferred shorter flights hence why I love the NGX (esp the -600 version which I have in Aust air express colours to try to replicate the AAE flights). I haven't tried out the Dash8 as yet but I've read good things about it.

grrr....too many games, not enough time. :wall:

Takeoff and hit the A/P then go into the other room and play something else haha

  2. How do you know that the NGX feels better if you haven't tried the 777? ;)

I paid my $96 dollars or whatever the conversion was and got the 777. Flew it a few times haven't gone back. I'll wait for FS2CREW.

Been flying the Q400 the most.

Yeah can't wait for GTA V buying a PS3 just for it :)

  3. Why do you think that Pete?

Admittedly, I haven't spent much time in yet but it seems at least on par with the NGX...

It's very expensive to purchase, it's wayy to automated for my liking and the NGX feels *nicer/better?* to fly.

I'll see how I feel when FS2CREW releases their bit for the 777.

  4. I'll throw my 2 cents in.

As a person who passed the Enroute exam first go and was geared up to do my prac after having been mentored a couple of times to knit out a few procedures I was the victim AGAIN of the rude know-it-ism squad. I could name names but in the end it's not worth the effort as this is a game and the culture won't change. I told Greg don't worry about it as I really couldn't be bothered to provide a voluntary service for people that weren't grateful. I left VATSIM for a month to take a break and I'm back to just flying for Ausvag, no more controlling for me.

Anyways I found my training to be really really good, had great support from the instructors who took time out of their busy lives to invest their knowledge onto keen controllers. The training is great but unfortunately the clients are not.

Humans aren't perfect, this is a GAME simulating the Airspace above our heads. If you find something that is wrong or don't like, don't chip people over the radio put in some feedback. If it's that bad that you're head to head with another aircraft or going to climb/descend into one then take evasive action.

It's going to be pretty boring flying around Australia with no controllers... We ain't playing CoD or WoW, so we always won't have that influx of new blood coming in totake over from pissed off jaded controllers.

    Seeya's in the skies.

    Pete.

  5. There are some issues with high TAT at the moment and the weather engine not generating proper overcast conditions. Hopefully be fixed in the up coming SP1.

  6. Is amazing, I've done one flight and I've stopped using REX all together.

You can upgrade from ASE to the 2012 version for $37 AUD (depending on currency rates at the time)

    Discuss.
