  1. The timezone changes for daylight saving time are backwards in your updated file. They put the "Date/Time that Standard time starts" - 'the time that daylight savings finishes' as Last Sunday in October at 2am and the "Date/Time that daylight saving time starts" as First Sunday in April at 3am....

You can either change the individual entries in the servinfo.dat file or use the corrected one I have attached to this thread. I have corrected AEDT and WST as well.

These are the correct timezone entries:

    7/AUS Eastern/-600040103100102

    11/Cen. Australia/-570040103100102

    18/W. Australia/-480000000000000

    Or the updated file:

    servinfo_dat_file.zip

  2. It's a PHP script that parses the METAR into a format that EuroScope uses to create an automated ATIS message, as far as I can see.

    According to the instructions http://www.uniatis.net/instructions.php

No online profile required, just point EuroScope at the following URL

    http://uniatis.net/atis.php?arr=$arrrwy($atisairport)&dep=$deprwy($atisairport)&apptype=ILS&info=$atiscode&metar=$metar($atisairport)

I must have missed something !

  3. Hi Luke, yes but there are missing phrases and words due to the way that UNIATIS parses the METAR.

For instance, the METAR says "YPPH 241300Z 23006KT CAVOK 25/20 Q1011 NOSIG" and the UNIATIS creates "[YPPH][information]A[at time]1300[expect ILS approach][runway][in use][wind]230[degrees]6[knots][CAVOK][temperature]25[dew point]20[QNH]1011[NOSIG][advise on initial contact you have information]A".

You have to create correlations for [at time] to play a wav that is close to the meaning, [advise on initial contact you have information] there is no wav for that.

Perhaps you can see what I meant by my original post.

If you want the UNIATIS to function and not hang because it doesn't have a Record Content with the corresponding wav file, you need to tailor it to function.

Still at least the UNIATIS does work and can provide an automated voice ATIS, given a little careful adjusting !

  4. The UNIATIS feature works very well.

You may have to add a few extra "Record Content" options as the way it converts the METAR into the Text ATIS that it builds the audio from.

The Message window in Euroscope will tell you which parts it doesn't have a link to wav files for.

Use AUDACITY http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/ to create your own wav files and make sure they are saved in the following format: PCM wav; Sample Rate 7350; Mono; 16bits.
