G'day,
I would like to apologies on behalf of VATPAC for any confusion that has been cause by some well meaning staff. Posting of "Unoffical Events" should be made in the forums under "Affiliate & Non VATPAC Events". We will endeavor to ensure this does not happen again.
Thanks to those controllers who took their time to light up the skys and promote VATPAC - WD!

What happened to duty of care? Did that get outsourced as well?
-
Try this!
http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html
From what I understand P3D is just FSX with most of the bugs gone.
-
Thanks Russell for the heads up..
Please try again.

Thanks Daryl,
I have added that to the website! Under FAQ > Charts

G'day Shane,
VATPAC does not record all VATSIM flights. Only those conducted within or to and from Australia.
Check the Current Activity Link >> "Current VATPAC Flights" to see if your flight is being logged.
Use
or
http://www.vataware.com/pilotsearch.cfm?search=Shane+Sayle
to check all your VATSIM data

Would you believe we were trying to replicate real-world system outages ?
A single blank line had made its way into the aircraft database. We are putting this down to a lost lemming wandering around the data farm bumping into things

G'day,
The following was reported on the VATSIM forum.
why do i get this message going to the vatpac site from bitdefender ??==================================================
This web page has been blocked by BitDefender Antivirus Real-time Protection!
The web page blocked by BitDefender included objects that were either infected or likely to be infected with a virus. Your system has NOT been infected.
please advise
We have lodged a request with Bit Defender requesting they reveiw/resolve this false positive.
If anyone else is having issues feel free pm me.

Nathan,
The only thing we give rank for is hours!
http://www.vatpac.org/cms/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=774&Itemid=208
If the Epaulets are white it means your not current!
PLF
The Passenger Load Factor is calculated as a percentage of the maximum pax so... C172 OR A388 makes no difference
http://www.vatpac.org/cms/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=805&Itemid=210
As long as you choose an aircraft/airport that can maximize the PLF you've found the essence of VATPAX!

Updated and added the FAQ links

G'day Nathan,
Currently there are 30,000 pax in the system. We originally spread 20,000 pax around the Australia. SY-ML-BN-AD-PH received 3,000 each and rest were spread across DN-HB-CB-CH. A further 10,000 pax were injected during the international airports upgrade.
There is no external manipulation of Vatpax numbers and location. The current spread is solely due to the pilots who choose to use the system.
Legend has it that VATPAX are the souls of past flight simmers.....

Those waypoints are provided in Plan G format.

Well put it on the list.

Its simply on Monday because that is what Jackson suggest all those Mondays ago. If you remember we did a major event Milk Run Madness which later spawned into Milk Run Monday. The idea behind it, if I recall correctly, was to give everyone a chance to get it out of their system early in the week so they might consider flying somewhere else like Perth ......
We then implemented newbie night to get newbies up to speed and gain enough confidence to tackle Monday nights.
As far as trying to garner overseas pilots, in the past we have run our events in their airspace, cross promoted events and we even start Cross the Ditch at un-godly hours to accommodate them. Unfortunately we coped a lot of **** for trying. Too many peeps living in boxes i suppose -sigh-.
As for running what and when thats up to the dude in the chair.
------------------------------------
My only hope is that whatever event is run we all try to support it, rather than tearing down in the forums. Events are just a way to create a focus for our members both realism junkies and newbies (like myself) alike!

From the first post
There will be no information available to them on altitude or speed and procedural operations will kick in, similar to what you would expect during Oceanic flights. So to me that means PTAC
Ranges must stay within your VATSIM rating limit.

Hey sean, try the Faq link above or the Oceania Voice Rooms link http://www.vatpac.org/cms/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=215 if you ever in doubt just ask

Cheers steve, its great we have so many ears to the tracks.....

If your unable to connect to the "local" voice server
rw1.vatpac.org >> (180.200.247.40)
switch to either of the following servers.
rw2.vatpac.org >> (165.225.128.238) = rw.liveatc.net
rw3.vatpac.org >> (74.81.74.67) = voice.nyartcc.org
If these are not working either use the following link to get a full list of current voice servers and use their "url" to connect directly.

***********AUTOMATED FEEDBACK EMAIL*****************
Name: Scott Nugent
Feed Back Type: Controller
Comments: Flew tonight VFR out of sydney, and had a simulated duel engine failure while at 10000 feet. Had beautiful cooperation and assistance from Aidan Sandri, who was overwhelmingly accomadating, and great realism provided by Daniel Oliver. Just wanted to say thanks.
