This Weeks Flight May 20th 2020 starting at 8.00pm AEST finds us in the Caribbean. This flight has had many requests for it to be repeated. Departs V C Bird Int'l, Antigua and Barbuda (TAPA) thru numerous Island nations with final destination Clayton J Lloyd Int'l, Anguilla (TQPF). Flight created by Col Williams YMA123 Scenery: Default X-Plane or what ever sim you use however it is only known that these airfields are definitely in XP 11 Suggested Scenery: Princess Juliana Int'l TNCM (actually includes TFFG and TQPF) and includes some Ortho scenery for the region. Please ensure that you read the scenery_packs.ini folder notes carefully. This a large download about 1.4GB but this region is popular with on-line flying and no doubt will be used again so it is worth the space. Note: If you get an error message when starting the scenery that objects of the scenery are missing, this is due to the "world-models library". You can find a customized version in the download. Just delete the original version in the "Custom Scenery" of your X-Plane 11 installation and replace it with the customized version from the download. If no error message appears, this step is not necessary ! This Weeks Flight for Wednesday 11th March 2020 starting at 8.30pm AEDT completes in part the relief flights into Berlin following partition of Berlin after WW2. There were three corridors from West Germany across East German territory to West Berlin agreed at the Potsdam Conference between western allies and Russia. Each corridor was 32kms wide and Templehoff and Tegal airports both in West Berlin were within a 32km diameter circle. There was also an UK airbase, RAF Gatow on the edge of Berlin within the middle corridor however was not used much in the airlifts. NB: Flight can be flown VFR (if you know the region) but for realism should be flown using instruments tuning to NDB's etc. Flight created by YMA555 Airlift returns to West Germany, Hamburg via middle corridor from Templehoff via East German territory. Templehoff is now closed however for the purposes of this flight has been re-opened with following scenery: https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/53039-berlin-tempelhof-eddi-alive-v-001-community-project/ Scenery: Default X-Plane or what ever sim you use however it is only known that these airfields are definitely in XP 11 Aircraft: DC-3/C-47 freeware by Aeroworx downloadable here or of course any DC3/C47 you prefer. https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/40334-awxdc3beta2_2xp11zip/ In need here is a link to relevant DC-3 CSL.
