Start by replacing parts that will be usable in a new pc if it comes to that and start with the least expensive parts.
A PC that's slow starting games or at boot up is usually a sign of a failing drive. I'd start there. I recently had some issues with my PC and found it was a basically unused (only had a few utils left on it as it used to be my FSX drive) SSD that was failing and windows was trying to run scans and repair it all the time. I unplugged it and I don't have those issues anymore.
Then:
Get yourself a half decent SATA SSD (if your current Motherboard can take an M2 even better) and put your OS and most important games on it. You can pick up a ~500GB SSD for $90-$120. See if that helps first. If it doesn't at least you have a component ready for your new build.
Then (you have to balance what might fix your problem with what replacements will cost):
Chase the CPU: Your little old i3 is really the minimum spec for any sort of gaming pc but all is not lost since your mobo chipset is not maxed out. You should be able to pick up a second hand i7 that'll slot straight into your mobo. Keep an eye on buy-swap-sell pages for i5s or i7s that people are parting out. An i7-7700k should set you back about $150. Having said that, if you have the budget for a whole new CPU and mobo, spend your money here.
Chase the GPU (although I doubt that will cause a game to start slowly). Especially if you upgrade your CPU you'll need a more powerful GPU. There are plenty of second hand 10 and 20 series cards but watch out for the scalpers asking top dollar for them.
My advice, do the SSD thing for $100 and see how you go.

Ah ok. I understand now.
The Unread Content and Mark Site Read buttons are directly beneath the image slider for me. Not a huge inconvenience.

17 hours ago, Chris Gardiner said:
are you signing in as an agent?
Well that's not very obvious is it? What the hell does "Agent" mean?
What's wrong with "Staff sign in here"?
-
Ok,
Everyone seems to be having more luck with this than me. Unless I am following a link from an email notification, I can't seem to log in as staff. All I see are the options to view my own tickets and create a new one.
What am I doing wrong?
-
I'm seeing the same thing as David,
When reducing window size the buttons (that are normally just below the nav bar) are replaced with the icon that displays on a mobile browser.
-
You mean these buttons that are right there at the top?
-
Hi Arron,
I love this initiative. Thanks for putting it together. If I may make a couple of suggests to improve it further?
Point 4: Stress.
ATC being stressful is really a bit of a myth. Sure, the consequences in real life are dire if you get it wrong but if it's done well and professionally, it should not be stressful, especially online where everyone is safe at their computers.
Communication priority is not a suggestion but a competency you have to demonstrate when you get your rating. You are correct that airborne, runway, taxiway, apron is the generally accepted order of priority.
Lastly, phraseology:
Avoid using the term "Number 1, stand by for clearance" or "Stand by for clearance you're number 1." Just "stand by" is sufficient and much more efficient. Sure if the aircraft waiting for clearance is number 2, 3, 4 or....... 12, advise them of such so they know there are a few to get through before their's is ready. It also helps them to be ready when it's their turn. But when their first in line or the only one waiting, it's not required.
Practice standard phraseology AT ALL TIMES, even when it's quiet. Nay.... especially when it's quiet. By doing this the standard phraseology becomes second nature when you really need it.
Keep up the good work!
