Yeh, some trees are a bit too tall, I guess it's the extra rain we have been receiving this year.

I think it is a solid start though. I read that they say they're committed to continual improvement of the product so I think that coupled with the commitment from the devs and the expectation that the usual add on dev suspect will come to play, it has some great potential. A few tweaks here and there for sure.

Not sure about VATSIM connection Justin.
I just took a flight out of Brisbane west to Oakey. Very happy with the sim so far.

Absolutely Sean, the force is strong to revert to old key bindings used by the likes of FS2004 and FSX.
I left the default configuration settings for flight realism for my first flight and as I was flying over the top of Seaworld suffered engine cut out. Not sure I like that 1 for 1 strike rate I have had on failures so far haha.
Might drop in another short hop during lunch and then get into some serious adventuring tonight.

Decided to wait up until midnight to start the download. Well worth it. Download was completed by the time I woke this morning and I took a C172 for a snappy flight from YBBN to YBCG this morning for my maiden FS2020 flight. One word to describe the difference between this and predecessors - WOW!
Now wishing I'd taken a day off today. Looking forward to hearing what everyone else thinks and perhaps getting into some casual online flights with a few folk while we get used to new key maps and the likes before hitting VATSIM.

One sleep to go Australia! I'm wondering what time we will get access? Will it be @ 0001 on the 18th or will it be the usual, have to wait for the 18th in the US to tick over? I'm torn as to whether to risk waiting up and start the download if access opens up at midnight, or just get an early night based on probability of having to wait for US time to start downloading. Might need the sleep, could be a late one tomorrow......

Yeah I went the pre-order Premium Deluxe digital edition with my new gaming rig tailored for FS2020 expected to be delivered tomorrow. It has one SSD in it and I have another here that I will use as a secondary if needed.

Absolutely a circus. I'm mid flight at the moment so can't check, but I think the best option to choose is the far left for MP. The right hand option is off (groups only) and the middle one shows everyone that has that option selected (which I think is default) so you end up seeing every one that is playing the game, regardless of whether they are a simmer or just someone out for a bit of a fly. You end up with aircraft careening down the runway towards you as you're about to rotate.
I think once people get the hang of it and groups start to form for the likes of VATPAC and VAs etc this should settle itself down.
On another topic, how good are the clouds now?
