  1. IMHO - if you don't want to accept feedback good/bad on Facebook, then close the page

An organisation can be judged in social media how they handle comments, both good and bad... The important thing is that comments and welcomed and accepted, through any medium

Just look at tripadvisor ... People can post very hateful comments, how the organisation replies speaks more for the issue

  2. a company can proactive, and shutdown a fleet because they internally have found an issue

that's what quality control / safety management etc is designed to do

let's give the benefit of the doubt to the operator for once rather than thinking the regulator is the be-all-and-end-all

  3. A pilot can be cleared for the visual approach from 30DME

Once cleared for the visual approach, the pilot must remain on track until 5DME then join the circuit as instructed.

You don't have a FMC, the item I have highlighted there does not require a FMC/GPS, you could tune your VOR into the HB VOR and get your DME/Tracking information from that.

That is you know your going to Hobart, if your using a FMC or a GPS, you should remain on the track that, that is producing for you towards Hobart, once you reach 5DME as indicated on your VOR you can join the circuit as instructed

I dont have a DME on board - can I do a visual approach?

Right base means you avoid me at Cambridge

  4. is WF tas the one that I was in a couple of years back? I've always wanted to return if you fellas would have me depending on my roster

I only get it 15 days before november and I may only be free for a couple of days :S

Nicholas - send me an email and we'll see how it looks

  5. See that's the problem now. Too many awesome sims to choose from lol.

Hows the old Tassy crew going? any of them coming back? And by Tassy crew I do of course mean Victorians, South Australians and Queenslanders lol.

    I have a few emails already ;)

also got some locals interested too, so we're close to having enough crew, but well .. I found about WF from VATPAC so I threw it out there for others to follow suit :pilot: (also planning for the inevitable last minute withdrawals)

  6. casa annual reports state how many licences were issued

around 1200 ppl in 11/12 ..., maybe add some fat for those who do the theory but not the practical (yes there would be some)
