Welcome to the stunning Northern Territory! Watch the endless seas of red surround you as you cruise above some of Australia's most sacred lands; or explore the tropical coast and find yourself amongst the palm trees. Either way, the NT has many FIFO routes for you to explore. Here FIFO flights help to not only to carry miners into the rich interior of the territory, but also to provide essential services to the indigenous communities throughout it.
Join us on October 1st as we bring these FIFO routes into the world of flight sim and attempt to staff up the Top End. We aim to have full coverage of Darwin, as well as enroute services covering the entire region between 0700z-1000z (5pm-8pm AEST : 3pm-6pm AWST). So watch out for crocs and get ready for this month's edition of FIFO Friday!

The Top End is home to a whole array of magnificent regional airfields for you to explore. Being too small for full control services, OCTA services will be provided by enroute controllers to assist you. Below is a guide to help you with these services:
Departure:
Taxi Call:
The taxi call informs ATC of your intentions and that you are taxiing at your respective airfield. In response, centre will provide you with a traffic statement and a squawk code.

Be careful to watch for hot air balloons as we explore the Hunter Valley region of NSW for this month's FIFO Friday. Whether you like the big cities or the smaller outback airports, we've got you covered in September. Take in the crisp country air as you explore some of Australia's most infamous wineries and regional towns. August brings us back to Perth, and to the WA region of Gascoyne for FIFO Friday! Here you'll find a bit of everything, from fishing, to mining, and even tourism as the region is home to the iconic pink lake at Hutt Lagoon, as well as the idyllic Kalbarri National Park. With an area extending from Gerladton to Exmouth, there's definitely no shortage of stunning scenery in Gascoyne!

This July, we are happy to welcome you to the Festival City for another edition of the ever-popular Panic Stations! It doesn't matter what aircraft you decide to fly, all that matters is that you make it on time to enjoy those all-important bragging rights.
South Australia awaits for this edition of Panic Stations, with the expectation of a fully staffed Adelaide (YPAD) between 0600z-0900z (4pm-7pm AEST). Whether you arrive over the beautiful Flinders Ranges, or by crossing the renowned Eyre Peninsula, we can ensure that Adelaide won't disappoint.
Event Details:
The aim of Panic Stations is a simple one; get as many aircraft flying into the destination as possible with one objective. This being to arrive into Adelaide at or after the arrival time to be in the running for exclusive bragging rights, as well as a special prize!
This time around the touchdown time is: 0800z
(6pm AEST : 5:30pm ACST : 4pm AWST)We do recommend bringing some extra holding fuel as controllers will be busy trying to accommodate the influx of pilots whilst trying to maintain larger separation standards than usual.
Prizes:
Thanks to the lovely people at Aerosoft, this Panic Stations will have a little bit more up for grabs than usual. They have generously donated three $15 Aerosoft Store Vouchers to be won by two punctual pilots and one lucky controller.
For Pilots: To win one of two awards on offer, you must be one of the aircraft to arrive at or just after the target arrival time. One prize will be given to the first jet aircraft to arrive, with the second going to the first non-jet aircraft to arrive.
For Controllers: Everyone controlling during the event will be entered into a controller matrix and assigned a random number. A random number generator will then be used to determine a winner of the third prize.
This means that you have to be in it to win it!
Our three lucky winners will be immediately contacted by VATPAC5 to redeem their rewards.
The eligibility requirements for receiving these prizes will be released closer to the event date.

Being "where the rainforest meets the reef" as any local will tell you, this region has some of the best views in the country. Whether it be the world heritage listed Great Barrier Reef, the infamous Daintree Rainforest, or the mining hub of the Atherton Tablelands, this region definitely has a scenery to suit everyone. Here, FIFO flights focus on connecting the indigenous communities of Cape York to Cairns (YBCS). These flights are often the only connection to these towns, playing an important role in keeping a unique and ancient culture alive well into the future.

As you approach your destination, the centre controller will advise you that you are cleared to leave controlled airspace on your descent. They will provide you with a clearance, traffic statement, and the local QNH.

Once you have arrived at your destination, inform centre that you have landed and expect them to respond with a termination of your SARWATCH.

… and by extension, to the Darling Downs region of Queensland as part of this month’s FIFO Friday event. Said to have the “richest soil in the world”, the region has become the agricultural hub of not only Queensland, but all of Australia. It’s home to Queensland’s largest inland city, Toowoomba, whose primary airport (YBWW) now sees freighter flights as far away as Hong Kong and Singapore.
Of course, this event won’t be taking you that far. Depart from Brisbane International Airport (YBBN) and explore one of many airports in the Darling Downs region, with full ATC between 0700z-1100z (5pm-9pm AEST, 3pm-7pm AWST). Or why not even take your REX SF34 out for a spin on either their W1 or W2 routes up through central QLD. No matter the aircraft, you will be sure to find your home in the green heart of Queensland.

November brings us back to the renowned Queensland coast for FIFO Friday! Fitzroy is home to some of Australia's most famous mining towns such as Moranbah and Emerald, both of which are supplied by FIFO flights to a range of destinations across Queensland. You can also travel up to Longreach and spend the day at the Qantas museum, or continue up to Winton to discover where the flying kangaroo was founded. Fitzory truly is the heart of Queensland and we welcome you to fly there as part of this month's FIFO Friday.
So join us between 0700z-1000z on November 5th as we attempt to staff up the entire Fitzroy region, with full TMA's at Townsville and Brisbane, as well as enroute sectors online across the region. No matter which aircraft you want to fly, we welcome you to Fitzroy.

Fitzroy is home to a whole array of magnificent regional airfields for you to explore. Being too small for full control services, OCTA services will be provided by enroute controllers to assist you. Below is a guide to help you with these services:

Taxi Call:
The taxi call informs ATC of your intentions and that you are taxiing at your respective airfield. In response, centre will provide you with a traffic statement and a squawk code.
