Hey Warick, just wanted to welcome you to VATPAC and VATSIM.
I too am a newbie to Vatsim and can admit was very nervous before pushing the PTT button when connected on VATSIM!!... But what a buzz when you have finally flown with online ATC, my most recent VATSIM flight was “across the ditch” Auckland to Melbourne and the VATPAC oceanic controller was very helpful...now I know what an Oceanic Position Report is 😅. So just jump right in, and follow the previous posts guidance.
If you are able and haven’t already set up a second PC monitor then add that to your wish list..it just makes for a much more enjoyable flight with the VATPAC, Audio pilot client and web pages etc set up on one monitor and a clean flight deck on the other! and checkout The VATPAC webpage, it has a great ATC assist page under the Controllers tab for charts and routes.

I haven’t flown my C172 in a while but I know that exact flat battery experience😄. Reloading the flight was frustrating...can’t wait to give your workaround a go. Thanks

Wow thanks Liesel for the offer of getting some photos. So far I have found a few on the Web that have helped that cover area im working on, if I get stuck ill let you know.

G'day flight Simmers,
Im looking for some real world help from anyone that works at YPAD or fly's in regularly . I am using Xplane11's scenery development tool WED and would like to update Adelaide airport taxi/apron markings / painted lines etc. But due to the current terminal upgrade at Adelaide, Bing and Google have different satellite images.
Not from Adelaide I was hoping someone who knows the new/current layout could tell me which image (attached) is the most up to date?. Im interested in the apron/stand area just North of RWY23.
any info would be great, thanks a mil.

Just getting time to get back to your post, its a flamin great idea and flying with FS2020 is going to be awesome!.. those preview videos blow me away. So its an "im in' from me if this gives you any encouragement to keep running with your idea.
As no release date is set for FS2020... VFR training just might not be on peoples radars...yet. (We are all having too much fun on VATSIM flying 738s, A320s and Dreamliners
).
