  6. It is with great sadness that I address the community today to inform that Cameron Wilbraham has handed in his resignation for the position of Events Manager within the VATPAC Events Department. Cameron has been an integral part of the Events Department over the past 16 months since his appointment to the role of coordinator. Shortly after, Cam took on the role as the second-in-chief for the Events Department, and has successfully assisted in running countless regular, major and one off events over the past 14 months. Amongst Cams list of achievements was his admiration, commitment and dedication to his role within the Events Department. He was always approachable for all the staff, and took the reigns whenever necessary! From the bottom of my heart, and the entire VATPAC Community. Thank you for your service to VATPAC Cam. You will have your place in the books here as a special member of the VATPAC Events Team, and we look forward to seeing you into the future. Cameron will remain in his role as Events Manager until a suitable replacement is found. Applications for the position of Events Manager will be opened to the public shortly, and all interested applicants are encouraged to submit their interest. Thank you,

  9. For those of you who applied for WorldFlight Departure, thank you for your patience whilst site issues occurred throughout the day. 14. Changes to the above NOTAM effective 20OCT21 Changes to ENR Reserved Positions (Section 3)
  15. Just some positive feedback to say big thanks to SY_APP (Sam K) for the visual approach into 34L tonight. Sam PM'd me to clarify something about the vis approach and I didn't have time to respond before he logged off. I'm super rusty with my procedures after a few years away from flying so I appreciate feedback from the controllers, especially when they clearly know their stuff. Well done Mr Keast!
  16. Congrats to Sam Wilson who attained his ENR rating a few days ago! Well done sir!
  17. NOTICE: Event Awards & Eligibility Information - Panic Stations Perth Hello Everyone, In order to ensure fairness during Panic Stations Perth, please see the below eligibility requirements for pilot awards. 25. Good Morning Everyone, With lockdowns around Australia continuing to remain in force, VATPAC has seen an increase in the number of Controllers and Pilots during Milk Run Monday. This has resulted in a higher level of traffic, and longer delays throughout the event. In order to increase the smooth running of this event. VATPAC is trialing the introduction of the to the following during all Milk Run Monday events. VATPAC Event Coordinators will be active to assist in the smooth running of the event and ensuring ATC services remain online. You can see any coordinator during these events in the Member List on the VATPAC Discord who have the @eventcoordinator role. Coordinators may also be logged on with the VATPAC35 callsign. Non-Standard positions will be activated in accordance with the Controller Positions and Ratings Policy. We will be looking to open more Non-Standards than in the past to decrease controller workload, and increase efficiency during Milk Run events. This trial will be active during September and October of 2021.
