World Discovery - Berlin Airlift 1948

This Weeks Flight for Wednesday 11th March 2020 starting at 8.30pm AEDT completes in part the relief flights into Berlin following partition of Berlin after WW2. There were three corridors from West Germany across East German territory to West Berlin agreed at the Potsdam Conference between western allies and Russia. Each corridor was 32kms wide and Templehoff and Tegal airports both in West Berlin were within a 32km diameter circle. There was also an UK airbase, RAF Gatow on the edge of Berlin within the middle corridor however was not used much in the airlifts.

NB: Flight can be flown VFR (if you know the region) but for realism should be flown using instruments tuning to NDB's etc.

Airlift returns to West Germany, Hamburg via middle corridor from Templehoff via East German territory. Templehoff is now closed however for the purposes of this flight has been re-opened with following scenery:

Scenery: Default X-Plane or what ever sim you use however it is only known that these airfields are definitely in XP 11

Aircraft: DC-3/C-47 freeware by Aeroworx downloadable here or of course any DC3/C47 you prefer.

Suggested Altitude: Potsdam agreement limits flight level through all corridors to max 10,000ft across East German territory (or get shot down by Mig 15).
