It's the Australia Day Holiday!

In 1788, some poms decided to come to New South Wales and set up a colony at Botany Bay. Turns out there wasn't enough fresh water there, so they landed in Sydney Cove instead, but eventually someone built an Airport near (later, partly in) Botany Bay.
Later, in 1901, the Colonies decided to become a Nation and so established the Capital of Australia in Melbourne... temporarily at least.
Later, in 1911 the Capital was established in Canberra.

In Celebration of these and probably other historical facts, it's time to put a snag on the barbie. For those of you all saussaged out, there's always the Milk Run.

See how many legs you can do between Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra tonight.

Rose Bay was actually Sydney's first international airport, with flying boats to London. Qantas's Hangar 58 (now at YSSY) was originally there.
