This Weeks Flight for Wednesday 8th November 2023 commences a five leg flight following the Ganges River in India and Bangladesh. The river is known as “Ganga” in India and “Padma” in Bangladesh.
Flights can start between 0830z and 0900z
Like most large river systems the head of the river encompasses many tributeries so we start the flight at Dehradun (VIDN) which is closest airport to Devprayag where the Bhargirath River and Alaknanda River join into The Ganges. Follow the river to destination Bareilly (VIBY) about 75nm to the east of the river.
Some departues from the river route are necessary as suitable airfields can be quite a distance from the river.

Scenery: Due to the plethora of flight sim programs now in use scenery is at the discretion of each pilot.
Aircraft: Capable of 150 kias.
Comms: Tune Radio to 122.80MHz - Unless Advised by ATC or further detailed hereunder
