This Weeks Flight for Wednesday 31st August 2022 continues a four leg trip in Alaska following the route of the famous Iditarod Dog Sled race commencing (March 2022) at Anchorage (PANC) and concludes at Nome. This 3rd leg resumes at Ruby (PARY) and will finish at Unalakleet (PAUN). Most of you will be aware that Unalakleet was the home base for TV series “Flying Wild Alaska” featuring the Tweto family who are no longer involved in the airport operations. The flight plan provided is a general route linking supply line airfields; the sleds have to go around the higher mountains.

Scenery: Due to the plethora of flight sim programs now in use scenery is at the discretion of each pilot. If you can it would be interesting to fly this tour in partial snow.
