25MAR22 | Pacific Connect - Noumea & Port Villa

Welcome to Pacific Connect, a new regular quarterly event where we explore the Pacific Islands within VATPAC airspace. On the last Friday of each quarter you will be invited to fly routes across Melanesia, Polynesia, Micronesia and many other islands in VATPAC's very own backyard.

This Quarter:

This quarter we are exploring the beautiful landscape of New Caledonia and Port Vila. We invite you to fly between the beautiful airports of Noumea Airport (NWWW) and Port Vila Airport (NVVV) between 0730z - 1130z on Friday the 25th of March 2022.

Routes:
VATPAC recommends the following route for pilots flying between the two nominated airfields.

NWWW - NVVV:
ROUTE: DCT NIPOG B590 LEDIT DCT

NVVV - NWWW:
ROUTE: DCT LEDIT B590 NIPOG LECNA SARAM TOSAM DCT

ATC:
Controllers who wish to control a position to control during this event are entitled to log on as a first come first serve basis. 

*Non-Standard positions* will be available for opening depending on traffic levels. They may only be opened once all of the Standard positions are filled. Please see a member of Staff, or a C3 rated controller to be granted permission to open a non-standard position. Please review the controller NOTAM for detailed information about which Non-Standard Positions are automatically authorized.

Controllers are reminded that NVVV_TWR and NWWW_TWR are classified as a procedural aerodrome. S2 Controllers looking to provide ATC during this event on NVVV_TWR or NWWW_TWR must hold a Procedural Endorsement. S3 or higher rated controllers are already endorsed to provide procedural services.
